Full Standing for Europe

Historically, what time are the kick offs?

Reason I'm asking is the last train heading down through Seaham, Horden etc down to Boro is at 22:06, so an 8pm kick is going to be tight unless you leave early.

Understandable, but at the same time top division football is dead in terms of atmosphere. Once in a blue moon there is a decent atmosphere.

For the good of football, there needs to be a lot more standing areas in football grounds.
This 100%. I may be looking through rose tinted glasses but very rarely has the SOL atmosphere got any where neat that of Roker Parks best days and especially nights.

Upper South has already had it for ages. I’m confused why I got an email, unless they’re changing it. Having stood in other ground’s safe standing areas, our rails do seem excessively big so maybe they are (changing them).

Haven’t stood in front of my seat in the South Stand for as long as I can remember, always seem to be a few seats along from it due to others stood there. Doesn’t matter a jot to me, I pay to get into the South Stand rather than have a specific placca seat.

Not the whole of the upper through. It starts at row 23.

The way we've been at home all season has been immense and it's the reason we are where we are. It's intimidating for anyone coming here.

Now, imagine the whole stadium standing (if you can) for 90 minutes in European home game. It would be next level.

The whole ground like The Roker End for 90 minutes.

Everyone cohesively on top of the game from minute one.

Would be the best chance of progressing in the competition. (I know, Europe. I can't believe I've just typed this thread up🤣 )
Said all along, safe standing behind both goals - even if just the lower tier.

Elland Road always looks class as they constantly stand.

I don’t know your age but consider roker park from the 1973 cup run onwards.

What were the BIG night matches?
Fa cup replay versus man city
Armstrong header 1992

At the SoL we have had the Ballardsy header, burnley 3-2 promotion season game, probably loads of obvious others but night matches are more common now.

There’s still people in the South stand standing area who sit and just lean on the bar. Always confuses me why they choose that area.

For the last couple of minutes of Sundays game the whole ground was stood (and for the 45 minutes afterwards) - the ground looked tremendous.

Every night match was a big match night for me. Loved the floodlights loved the atmosphere. I'm not knocking the atmosphere at the SOL but think It's a lot easier creating a noise when a whole end is standing. And of course congregating next to your mates and all those that wanted to sing.

I clearly said stand if you can
What if you cant stand but the people in front are standing? Most disabled people around the walkway wouldn't be able to see.

It would be great to see and be a part of but not possible. Stand up near me to let someone past and you get shouted at to sit down 🤣
