According to the other thread unless we charge 30 quid a ticket we won't even sell out for European games so be plenty of space for people to stand

Agreed. But a European home game would (and should) be different. We should be there to make it as hard as possible for the opposition to obtain a resultAnd compare that to the rest of the capacity! It's relatively small.
If we lose - that will be up to the 11 players on the pitch for SAFC.Nightmare from you when we lose at home to Ferencvararos cos ya cannit be arsed to stand up
Beat me to it so here's another oneSIT DOWN IF YOU HATE THE MAGS
We won on Sunday purely from the atmosphere imo.If we lose - that will be up to the 11 players on the pitch for SAFC.
Not the crowd choosing to sit in their seats for which they have paid to do so.
I spoke with Cole palmer after the match on Sunday.. he told me that the atmosphere was up there with the Maracana in 1970.We won on Sunday purely from the atmosphere imo.
That own goal would not have happened had we not made it as intimidating as possible
If it was standing only, you would have a very small crowd!Agreed. But a European home game would (and should) be different. We should be there to make it as hard as possible for the opposition to obtain a result
We already have the pre-match sorted as the bus comes into the ground![]()
This also makes our support seem as if we should be passive as out, as if we don't influence games. If we lose - that will be up to the 11 players on the pitch for SAFC.

I pay very good money for a seat… I stood on the roker end and always dreamed of being able to afford a seat in the grandstand… well I’m rich now thanks to the pensions triple lock and I want my padded seat. Down with the commies I say.If it was standing only, you would have a very small crowd!
Excellent mate. Happy for you.I pay very good money for a seat… I stood on the roker end and always dreamed of being able to afford a seat in the grandstand… well I’m rich now thanks to the pensions triple lock and I want my padded seat. Down with the commies I say.
Yep. We cannot allow the complacency of being happy we're in Europe set in, or we'll be taught lesson after lesson. It will slip through our fingers quicker than it came into possession.Ignore the moaners on here OP most of them don’t go to the games. You have a point though, we need to the atmosphere to be there otherwise the away teams will wipe the floor with us.
I’ve been watching since 1964 pal… we made more noise then with our clackers… I was passed down to the front of the fulwell over the heads of fans to get to the straw on the pitch, there was rationing but we were happy.Ignore the moaners on here OP most of them don’t go to the games. The way we've been at home all season has been immense
It's intimidating for anyone coming here.
Now, imagine the whole stadium standing (if you can) for 90 minutes in European home game. It would be next level.

Be great for the old bloke aged 85, who can’t stand for long periods and therefore can’t see what’s going on in the game, as everyone in front is standingThe way we've been at home all season has been immense and it's the reason we are where we are. It's intimidating for anyone coming here.

The whole ground like The Roker End for 90 minutes.
Everyone cohesively on top of the game from minute one.
Would be the best chance of progressing in the competition. (I know, Europe. I can't believe I've just typed this thread up)

I know people that are in the ares to be converted this close season and they aren’t happy, not being given a choice as to whether they want to stand or not, and of course there isn’t anywhere for them to move to now.The club clearly want standing, given the extension of safe standing areas
Did his grandad tell him that?I spoke with Cole palmer after the match on Sunday.. he told me that the atmosphere was up there with the Maracana in 1970.
