Full Standing for Europe

What we need is choice, just like we used to have before all-seater was compulsory. Then those who choose to stand can, and those who choose to sit can without someone permanently standing in front of them. You choose which part you want to be in.

Roker, like most grounds of that era had the 2 ends and the paddocks standing and it would be great to return to something similar. We don’t have equivalent of paddocks though, and there is currently the issue with hospitality in the North Stand.

Ultimately if we extend the ground, it would be great to see both ends being made fully standing.

We won on Sunday purely from the atmosphere imo.

That own goal would not have happened had we not made it as intimidating as possible
 Purely yes
They’re extending the safe standing to all of the SWC upper and South Stand upper aren’t they?
Yeh. I’ve just missed out which is annoying. I’m still in the SEC family bit but my youngest is now old enough to wanna stand and I’d prefer to as well. I’d like to the option to move to a standing section but there’s just not enough to meet demand is my guess.

First one will sell out, the rest probably depend who the opposition are.
I disagree, near enough every season ticket holder will go to all the games which means there will only be 3k or 4k for general sale, there will be loads of people who miss out on the first couple of games who will then be able to get tickets for the last 2.

The way we've been at home all season has been immense and it's the reason we are where we are. It's intimidating for anyone coming here.

Now, imagine the whole stadium standing (if you can) for 90 minutes in European home game. It would be next level.

The whole ground like The Roker End for 90 minutes.

Everyone cohesively on top of the game from minute one.

Would be the best chance of progressing in the competition. (I know, Europe. I can't believe I've just typed this thread up🤣 )

Somebody posted on here, that there are people who want to move out of those areas, so there might be some availability.

Behind both goals should be standing would it not increase capacity and get more in to ground?? What is season ticket waiting list bet they be happy to stand and those who can not get ticket match day??

I’ve said it for ages, but having the family section next to the south stand was always a daft idea.

I think we’ve got the numbers now that you could effectively have one fuck off singing end from the SWC to the SEC. But the club are hamstrung because there’s people who’ve bought seats in the SEC as the family section.

My understanding is that by introducing total standing areas behind the two goals would increase capacity by 5 thousand.

Excellent mate. Happy for you.

Great seat to enjoy for 15 mins at half-time ;)

Yep. We cannot allow the complacency of being happy we're in Europe set in, or we'll be taught lesson after lesson. It will slip through our fingers quicker than it came into possession.

Stay loud and proud, on your feet for 90 minutes (if you can) & give the players who got us there everything

Take your ableist and ageist crap elsewhere. Some of us literally cannot stand for any length of time. You're lucky enough to be healthy and around 12 years old.

Safe standing doesn't increase capacity. The same amount of space is allocated to each standing supporter.

Upper South has already had it for ages. I’m confused why I got an email, unless they’re changing it. Having stood in other ground’s safe standing areas, our rails do seem excessively big so maybe they are (changing them).
Nee chance I'm standing like, I've paid for a seat
Haven’t stood in front of my seat in the South Stand for as long as I can remember, always seem to be a few seats along from it due to others stood there. Doesn’t matter a jot to me, I pay to get into the South Stand rather than have a specific placca seat.

I am not sure about that, I know I for one will struggle to get to Thursday night games. Easy for locals, but a lot of us travel a long way and can’t always get enough time off work. The extra expense will also be difficult for some people.
