The fact they're already trying to do the same again for next season saying we're in for a relegation battle due to having European commitments shows that these football 'experts' know absolutely nowt. Let them never learn. We're having a class time proving them wrong.
They could just shut the fuck up and wait and see. Why do we need pundits repeatedly failing miserably to predict the future?

They're lazy. That simple. Being paid fantastic money to give an opinion that anyone in the country can give down the pub. There's nothing expert about them, except that they used to kick a football for a living. Saying Sunderland again is just a lazy response when you're no more clued up than the average man in the pub.

Jordan’s comment was from last summer

Why are you making excuses for a massive c**t
I’m not making excuses if I believed the idiots remarks to be from the L1 days.

Becos their producers/directors want to see them look stupid.

If you bothered to do any research on the calibre of player we had recruited, it was obvious that we would have good chance of being very competitive. Nearly every signing had played European football before and had genuine pedigree.
We will push on in the summer as well. Already looks like Kondogbia close to signing as another DM option. Very good, physical player who has been at Monaco, Valencia, Inter, Atlético and Marseille. He’s no George Dobson.

i've said the same thing for years. listen to the pundits on match of the day, or the pundits on sky before and after games, or ex players on podcasts etc..

... they say absolutely nothing different to what any of us say, either on here or with our mates or in work places all week. i'm not sure how they've even got jobs.

the likes of Micah Richards, Neville, Carragher, Shearer, Roy Keane etc... they just play up to their pre-determined, choreographed stage characters and try to say something non-football related to create viral, bite-size social media content.

they are boring as fuck, and i honestly don't think they know very much about football despite being great players of the game.

theres a sub-reddit called 'the other 14' about the premier league away from the top 6 and most of them just naturally think 'well sunderland, brighton and bournemouth are going to struggle next season with the burden of europe'.... i mean, thats a fine opinion to have and its not a bad prediction based on the fact that first european seasons cost teams an average of -9 points relative to their previous season.

buts its not exactly radical thinking, and its being repeated by everyone as if they've came up with some new, outlandish prediction based on their own expert analysis of the situation.

everyone is just repeating everyone else. thats why i am keeping my powder dry on a) predicting that we'll struggle, and b) predicting that the three promoted clubs will struggle. yes, its got a good chance of happening, but there are millions of other factors at play

Enjoyed that.
A non-bitter mag!!
Not happy (of course), but he covers his disappointment with humour….not with salty, bitter shite.

The numbers DON’T lie.
We DID buck the trend massively.
BUT!…..well done us for that!!!

Can we do it next season? Well, I suppose the answer is probably.
It is gonna take a lot of hard work AND plenty of tactical nous from Régis AND some astute recruitment.
ALL OF WHICH WE ARE QUITE HANDY AT!!

So…I’m not not going to ‘poo-poo’ the numbers and the figures, because the only number that matters in the end is the number SEVEN.
As in…..7th place…..and EUROPA LEAGUE BABY!!

Exactly. Nothing original ever comes out of their mouths. Spurs struggled this season, but because they are Spurs, they are automatically expected to bounce back. Sunderland got promoted and were almost never in danger. Now we're 4th likely to be relegated. Why? It's easier to be lazy and say Sunderland. Say Spurs and you might need to have a bit more understanding and knowledge of why Spurs were in trouble. It's the easiest job in the world to be a football "expert".
