Talksport - Jason Cundy/O'Hara

Jason Cundy was taking the piss out of Sunderland, saying no one would want to join because it’s “too cold” up here, and that PSG players wouldn’t come. Jamie O’Hara was laughing along as well… the usual nonsense.
But look at the facts:
  • Mukiele joined – ex‑PSG.
  • Reinildo came – from Atlético Madrid.
  • Florent Ghisolfi (however you spell it!) worked at Roma.
So what are they actually on about? They clearly don’t know anything about Sunderland.
Fair enough, a lot of Londoners have big egos about their place. But up here, people are friendly, welcoming, and you genuinely feel comfortable. That matters more than whatever lazy stereotypes they’re pushing.
Little bit of poetic license
Mukiele was PSG player but on loan at Leverkusen. PSG wanted rid ( glad they did ) plus he got a big pay rise to join us
Reinildo was being let go and thus on a free
The premier league is an attractive destination and at the end of the day ( unless it is a seriously elite player ) it is all about wages and contract length. All the other guff ( as soon as I talked to the manager/owner etc etc, it was an easy decision ) is just window dressing for fans ears.
Cundy and O hara are 2nd tier pundits on the slide down and are after clicks and attention

Just wait til dembele signs

O'Hara is a total embarrassment. Nobody takes a word he says seriously, and his meltdowns this season have been nothing short of pathetic.

They just come out with utter shite for attention, and in the hope that an upset caller phones in.

They just take the piss and look to wind everyone up. They’ve barely said anything bad about us all season, so one little swipe at our area compared to London I’m alright with.

The Sunderland fan who called up called O’Hara a whale and it had both of them laughing. Clear it was a piss take mate.

They are a pair of clowns who are painful to listen to. Can't string a sentence together, talk over each other, repeat themselves endlessly. Can only stand listening to them for 5 minutes after games when driving home.

I bet he’s done brilliantly for talkSPORT this season. The clips have gone viral more than anything I’ve seen from them before

It's not just football pundits, it's the general persona Southerners have about the North. For example, the Radio 1 Big weekend, I heard 2 Southern women say they couldn't believe how warm it was here and that the place was cleaner and friendlier than they thought......you would think we lived in another world not 200 miles away. They really do have visions of us being uneducated, living in Victorian times up here.

I know where you’re coming from but tbh unless you’re the supporter of a top 6 team (or West Ham), it’s absolutely pointless listening to most of their shows because that’s the audience they’re aiming for
