Something special is happening

Yeah, the Peter Reid back to back 7th place finishes seemed a temporary success and likely to fade away as quick as it happened. The foundations of this success and the ambition of the people in charge seems on a new level to anything I have seen previously.....now if we could just find a new Kevin Phillips that would be nice!

I'm trying not to get too far ahead of myself. Europe could easily cause a huge slide in our form and i would be happy just to finish top ten, or lower preferably avoiding the relegation dogfight and just enjoy the ride. A European campaign under the belt will be amazing.

Who knows where things will go over the next few years im just gonna enjoy it as much as humanly possible

Especially when City are taken out of the equation in the next fortnight 😄
🤞

This is what is new for me, in my lifetime. First game 1973 QF replay and I can’t remember this level of professionalism at the top.

Football is cyclical. This particular cycle has taken about 80 years however....

We will be top division champions again within 10 years.

😄
I’ve said for the last year we will win the prem before the mags. Nowt do do with money or where we are now, it’s the running of the club. We have possibly the best DoF in European football and a hugely ambitious owner. He’s not even 30 yet is he

I’ve been supporting this team for 62 years , but this is the first time I feel something special is happening, I know when we won the fa cup it was remarkable , this time for me at least it wouldn’t be , this team , club are on the brink of a sensational new chapter in our history , Bring it on.
It does certainly feel like we are still building

I can also manage 62years and think the same way. I really believe this is the start of something big. Always in the past you felt it wouldn’t last and it didn’t. Not this time!

I started supporting SAFC in 1958. I went to my first match in 1962. I was at every game in our cup run in 1973. I saw our home games in Europe v Vasas and Sporting Lisbon. I have seen God knows how many promotions and relegations . In my back garden in Thornton Cleveleys, Lancashire, I have the barrier from The Fulwell End that I used to lean against .
At 77, I have seen the rough and the even rougher BUT I have never felt as optimistic as I’m feeling at this moment. It really does feel different this time. The future is bright! The future is red and white!
