I'm not sure he has the defensive abilities and "cost-to-benefit ratio" to be the right fit for us going forward, BUT you are spot on about this and I would definitely have him back IF the price was right.
 
Think he'd be happier as a bigger fish in a smaller pond. Could be worth looking at later in the window if United sign someone that pushes him down the pecking order, but until that happens his asking price would be too high to make sense for us.

Could also be worth considering if they approach any of our players - if we had to lose someone like Sadiki then a cash-plus-Amad deal would sweeten the pill a bit.
 
If I was to summarise what I'm reading above. Fantastic for us at Championship level but struggling to get the same performance with a better team at Premier level.
