Dear England

I didn’t have you down as a philistine sir. Theatre is, as anyone with sense knows, the finest of the art forms.
You wadnt be saying that if you’d seen some of the shite I’ve had to watch in 43yrs of living within a tube/train ride of the “west end”.
Telstar, The Young Lion and the Southgate thing are the only theatre I’d recommend to anyone. 2 about football and 1 about the music killer.

Tintin was good anarl having thought about it a bit more.

Wicked was fantastic. Les Miserables, Hamilton, Lion King, Billy Elliot.
All great. I do appreciate living local affords the chance to see everything, which I would if I was down there, and it can’t all be great.

TLK was ok. I can’t stand musicals. Even the Madness one was ropey.

The tiny bit I’ve seen in trailers the bloke playing Southgate looked good , tho with a level of passion I seriously doubt he ever mustered, that’s all I can base it on as I have no interest watching anything involving that serial bottler

He's Portrayed as a massive over thinker, which is how I've always perceived him as. It ironically shows him asking and pondering 'why do we never win'. He should have been sacked after the Euro final against Italy. Failed to go for the second goal and hoyed three young players under the bus.

Agreed after the Croatia debacle too lose a final at home after leading again is unforgivable

I saw the stage version back in 2024, I think I read they were adding more up to date bits for this TV version, guessing that'd make it worth rewatching

Watched a bit of this last night, and thought it was proper cheesy. Like someone had decided to make a serious version of Ted Lasso.
