Mayenda


Fair enough. Really pleased with what he's done for us and hope he goes on to have a cracking career somewhere.

He could have done with us having that one extra season in the Championship where he would have played every week before making the step up.

As it stands, he's third choice striker and you'd imagine we're looking to do more recruitment in that area. I'd rather keep one of Mayenda or Isidor if possible and just upgrade the other but if he wants to play every week, I understand that.

After the last window, i have 100% faith in the board and club to do the right thing. Will be interesting to see if Speakman had any input in to it, but i suspect he was more involved with the local UK based players coming in from the lower leagues, and Flo involved with the bulk of our buys from the continent last year.
 
If he goes, we will get a decent fee back. Shame but we have upped the bar massively now and not sure if he is that standard
 
If he goes I’d want a 50% sell on fee in there!

Very good player, needs some game time and then is likely to get a good move following that.

Hopefully only going out on loan if not here next season

We don't have the headroom in wages to have 4 strikers and no-one is going to be happy being emergency back up for a whole season.

Villa, Forest and Palace have all had 1 main striker with 1/2 back ups playing 15 games.
 
We need at least one new striker. Id rather keep hold of Wilson.

I love Mayenda but like lots of the promotion side we have outgrown his level currently and if the trajectory continues it's likely it'll stay that way. He is a young lad and needs to be playing football.

I don’t think he will go. Maybe the agent is just a going for a good pay rise/extension

If last summer was anything to go by I expect the club to invest heavily to give us an even stronger squad for those games. Them players have served us well but they aren’t the level required for where we have found ourselves.
Interesting quote from Moyes before played them saying how many players knocked Everton back last summer because they didn’t have European football! We are shopping in Harrods again boys and girls!!!

Sure he falls shorts by something annoying like 2 months for the 3 years under 21 rule.

Somebody on Twitter said another player mentioned one last dance during the week so I’m hoping they were just referring to the Jordan documentary. If he does leave we need to have a big sell on installed as he has huge potential we just couldn’t play him.
