After the euphoria wears off reality bites
Xhaka is our highest paid player ( 125-150 k pw), probably at least double what the likes of Roefs, Isidor, Gerty are on
Plenty of teams in premier could afford to pay these players similar wages
Players like those mentioned arent from the area, haven’t come through our youth system. They have hungry agents
Yes we all want them to stay but 90 minutes of adulation means nothing when generational wealth before they are 30 is on the table
 
I hope we keep the team together but that seems unlikely. Some fringe players like Mayenda and Mundle would want more opportunities and Isidor is rumoured to want that too. The attack needs some calibration. We are fourth worst for scoring but fourth best in defending.
 
I think yesterday was a huge selling point for the club. Fans, atmosphere, European football.....can see the players staying. Ok, one for big money may happen, part of football but we need a squad next season. Minimum extra 8 games, Thursday Sunday games for nearly two months and some of those Thursday games will be awful (away in cold countries)

I don’t think fringe players like Mundle matter tbf. It’s the core group we need to try and keep I reckon, if we can.
 
Personally I think qualifying for Europe pushes the price up for our saleable assets up by about £20M.

Without the extra league place and Europa revenue we would maybe have accepted less than £50M for the likes of Sadiki and Roefs. Now I think the bidding starts at £60M as there's less pressure to sell and less noise off their agents re: wanting to move for Europe etc.

We may have to improve certain players contracts mind.

That non costly mistake by Roefs yesterday will hopefully put a few off him. I think it's 3rd or 4th bad mistake this season which is brilliant for a kid of very little experience.

Think Europe will give us one more year with him . He still has plenty to improve on . Needs to add more when on the ball . Hes going to be some player . Hope they go out of the world cup early so he can get some rest .
 
I think most of the band still stay together

All I ask for is that we get someone in the coaching squad who can get this team to perfect finishing. Its all there we just need that extra push. Its the only weak link.

Definitely more chance now that we’re in the Europa. I’d be saying to the likes of Roefs & Sadiki who have been linked with Chelsea and Spurs, who are big clubs.

One more season, excel in the Europa League and it may well be Chelsea, Spurs and the likes if Bayern, Inter etc. wanting you next summer.

Also we’re far more attractive to signings now with the Europa League on offer. A free agent like Harry Wilson may look at us as a serious option which might not have been the case if we’d have finished 10th.
 
We're 4th favs for the drop/750-1 to win the league,the mags are 50-1 and Leeds 500/1.Something doesn't add up

O goals and only 1 assist,if he could add 5-6 goals season and more assists he'd be £80 million player
