Will they they are shite every seasonBecause like he said they didn't grind out results consistently. Stoke will recruit well in the summer.

Problem with Burnley is that they ended up having to spend most of their budget making loans permanent so they essentially had the same side that they had in the Championship, minus probably their best player (the keeper) who they sold. That was never going to work. That's what Burnley fans i know said about us. Said they were the most likely of the 3 to stay up. It's all about recruitment. They could all stay up if they do what we done and they click.
2 will goI don’t see any staying up tbh.
Is it even financially possible for those clubs to ‘do a Sunderland’ though? Ipswich could be bought out by the Sultan of Brunei but will be restricted as they spent a load the previous time. Hull and their transfer embargo may actually help them as they are starting on a clean slate of sorts. That's what Burnley fans i know said about us. All three of them will have to spend and get lucky though... We had an incredible windowAll 3 needed to spend. Can’t write them off as Leeds and ourselves have shown
So he acknowledges they'll be going back down. fair dos, though you think he might have given a little hope to their fans.Coventry’s owner already came out and said ‘they won’t be doing a Sunderland’ which we means relegation for them. Ipswich may have learnt from last time and Hull need a bigger overhaul than we had.
Much the same was said in late May 2025I don’t see any staying up tbh.
Be interesting to see what happens with Bournemouth after this season with the manager leavingEvery club has its time in the sun mate, and only Arsenal/Man Utd/Chelsea/Liverpool/Everton/Spurs are yet to be relegated from the modern Premier League.
I'm sure many clubs like Leicester or Stoke never thought it would happen to them but any club is only one bad summer window or start to the season away from disaster. Spurs hopefully dropping off that above list tomorrow.
The bell will toll for Brighton/Bournemouth/Brentford at some point in the future too.
I mean, he did say he was similar to Zidane so I’m not sure if he’s criticizing him or not.I think calling him a decent premier league player is maybe understating things a bit. He got to double figures for Premier League goals in 10 consecutive seasons playing in a central midfield role.
Like we were an easy 6 points for the Mags.Straight back down, 18 points for the lads.
Maybe, but it’s not all that relevant. It could be argued that Burnley had a better base squad than safc 12 months ago.It would be a good debate if you questioned who had a better base squad between Coventry now and Sunderland 12 months ago.
Yeah Burnley built their promotion on being solid at the back and then lost their two most important defensive players.Problem with Burnley is that they ended up having to spend most of their budget making loans permanent so they essentially had the same side that they had in the Championship, minus probably their best player (the keeper) who they sold.
