Coventry, Ipswich and Hull

Coventrys owner was repulsed by us selling our identity and stopping up. Best get over himself and buy a few
Never understood what he meant by that? We had to spend. We didn't sell our identity. Players like Roefs, Sadiki, Talbi and Diarra are the type of players we've been signing. Young players with potential. They just a higher calibre to what we have been signing.

I think it's a fancy way of saying, they won't be spending massive amounts.

Think cov will stay up. Got a good team, score goals, play good football and their transfer business is usually sound. They'll make the ricoh a tough place to go.

Ipswich and hull will need to be smart in transfer window.
Plenty of good teams have come up from the championship and tried to play the same way. They soon get found out and end up going on relentless winless runs.
You’ve got to focus on not conceding first and waiting patiently for an opportunity to attack.

Thats what they all say
Coventry’s owner already came out and said ‘they won’t be doing a Sunderland’ which we means relegation for them. Ipswich may have learnt from last time and Hull need a bigger overhaul than we had.

Ipswich will have the least wiggle room to make real improvement so see them struggling to reach 30 points. Other two will depend on their summers. Think all will be at least competitive enough to get past 20 points.

This is so true. Try to play the way you did in the Championship and the likes of Haaland, etc, will tear you a new one

And yet here we are, one game from European qualification in our first season back.

You’d think others would be using us as a blueprint (although it’s very difficult to do) especially with how little we spent to go up from league one to the prem

It's simple, recruit properly and replace most of your team or go down. Hull have the least chance as there is not a single player that will be able to step up, Coventry are a bit more an unknown but Ipswich have already failed once. I can see us and Leeds getting stronger, forest won't have the same season and either west ham or spurs will be better if they stop up.

All 3 needed to spend. Can’t write them off as Leeds and ourselves have shown
Sunderland and Leeds have the advantage of being bigger clubs that naturally attract players more easily, easier to show the players a vision. Hull is a harder sell for top-tier targets with multiple offers. Coventry however has a unique draw with Frank Lampard. For players who grew up idolising him. Anything can happen of course but do think its a much harder job for the three coming up.

Not going to write any of them off individually but would think at least 2 will go straight back down

I know everyone said this about us too, but there's not a chance that Hull stay up IMO.

One relegation spot gone already, another northern team promoted, and no Boro baggage.

Great result for us.

I think all 3 are worse than the 3 that went up last year. Probably the worst standard of Championship for a few years.

Ipswich have the experience so maybe they will know what to do this time round.
