Coventry, Ipswich and Hull

It’s not about that at all. Their fans and team are generally tossers regardless. I wasn’t live with the Jimmy stuff and couldn’t care about that, but I was alive during the 5-4 when my kid was hit with shit from above and every visit of theirs since when have been a shambles. Club can get fucked for me - nothing to do with their cheating past either.
Was there any bother at the home game in play offs that's poor but every team has idiots in its fanbase

Ipswich have a decent chance imo. Yoyod back immediately so will still have a few players on board with premier league experience, and won't need a total overhaul, money to spend, and a manager who has been there before and learn from past mistakes.

Never understood what he meant by that? We had to spend. We didn't sell our identity. Players like Roefs, Sadiki, Talbi and Diarra are the type of players we've been signing. Young players with potential. They just a higher calibre to what we have been signing.

I think it's a fancy way of saying, they won't be spending massive amounts.

He didn't really say it. He said he doesn't want to pull apart what we've built and change the squad.

Coventry and hull to go down. Leeds or Fulham to go down with them. I think Ipswich will stay up but just

Write off no one until the 10 games are played. Transfers are crucial and there might be a surprise or two. But if all of them don't drastically improve their starting XI they'll really struggle. None of the semi finals particularly set the world on fire and the final was turgid at best.

I'm sure that the three that have came up will give it a good go but recruitment is going to be crucial and I'm not sure even the draw of Frank Lampard will be enough if decent money isn’t being spent.

The pundits will be reluctant to lump Lampard’s Coventry with the other two as certain relegation candidates simply because he’s the manager. May be correct if they invest wisely but frustrating as Us, Leeds and Burnley were all forecast as certainties for the drop.

Like to think I'm reasonably unbiased, but I don't think any of the three stand a chance without eye watering levels of investment. The season after next, is a much tougher proposition for you though (based on who would likely come up/back up)

That last sentence pinpoints their problem. McKenna can't or won't change

We got a bit lucky with a very kind fixture list too, allowed us to hit the ground running and build some team chemistry before the harder fixtures came around.

Today I watched the most boring final ever and I can say without thinking outlandishly that absolutely no player on the pitch today will cut it in the premier league. We have seen at close quarters what quality is in the premier league and none of those players today get on any teams bench.

The problem for the teams coming up is that they don't have the reputation or the rivalries that the likes of us and Leeds have, which makes it a difficult sell for incoming transfers compared to what he had.

Also none of the 3 promoted have based their last few years around blooding young players into the first team, which was another good selling point for us and Leeds.

Coventry I think have the best chance in attracting a higher level of player, but their chairman has already came out and said he isn't going to take the same approach we did. Whether that happens or not are two completely different things though.

Hull are the best bet to stay up. The Turk will spend more than the other two , the coach is saying , like RLB, he asks for players of a certain profile rather than names , there will be little loyalty to a squad that doesnt contain a single player that will step up . I think like us theyll be fishing in the young potential pool in Croatia, Turkey with one marquee signing .
Ipswich wont make the jump or spend , Cov will fall between two stools , spend a bit but expect too much out of some current squad .
