Coventry, Ipswich and Hull

Welcome to the Premier League.

Let's hope they find life back at the top difficult. Obviously we were written off as well, but I would quite like a third season in the PL
You must be joking. Do you think Arsenal and Man Utd are posting this on their boards? We are light years ahead of these teams. And we shouldn’t be thinking of relegation.

Just had a look on oddschecker for next seasons relegation odds and although they are still showing this seasons, they have next season's title odds and we are 17th favourite. Cheeky bassas.

If they don't spend big ( our net spend £130m iirc) they are all fooked.
There's not 10 players between the 3 of them that are PL quality.

The problem for the teams coming up is that they don't have the reputation or the rivalries that the likes of us and Leeds have, which makes it a difficult sell for incoming transfers compared to what he had.

Also none of the 3 promoted have based their last few years around blooding young players into the first team, which was another good selling point for us and Leeds.

Coventry I think have the best chance in attracting a higher level of player, but their chairman has already came out and said he isn't going to take the same approach we did. Whether that happens or not are two completely different things though.

We won't bring in anywhere near the number of players Sunderland did but it wouldn't surprise me if we spent huge one at least one player.

Think cov will stay up. Got a good team, score goals, play good football and their transfer business is usually sound. They'll make the ricoh a tough place to go.

Ipswich and hull will need to be smart in transfer window.
They need a good defence. Their attack won’t make a dent in the majority of PL defences.

The most important thing for you is if Lampard can be pragmatic. Go remotely gung-ho in the PL and it will bite you on the arse

Exactly this. The money spent doesn’t mean success. It’s the quality of player and bonding them together.

That's why we won't go crazy by ripping up the squad. We'll get one or two big signings.

Our expectations won't be anywhere near what Sunderland and even Leeds have done this year.
Hull will go the most crazy this window. It will be fun to watch. They'll make more signings than Sunderland did.

I agree. People seem to think the amount spent equals success. Ipswich spent about the same as us last time and has a shocker. We got Mukiele and Alderete for about 30m. Key is brining in good players not the amount spent

Spine of the team for yous? CF, CM & a couple of centre backs.

Any chance of yous keeping Rushworth?

With yous, I think yous have 3 or 4 players who could quite realistically make the step up reasonably well, a bit like we did. After that I think you're struggling, like we would have done.

I do think yous need more than 2 or 3 big signings.

Rushworth will be the marquee signing. Well over £20m. Onyeka will be confirmed on a perm in a few weeks.

A new striker and at least one centre half will be the priority.

It's a very settled squad. Obviously ability is the most important factor, but we would be silly to rip a side up that's done so well in recent years. We could easily throw £150m and ruin the momentum.
