Geertruida

Anyone advocating selling Ballard can't be aware of the squad rules. Selling one of the very few 'home grown' players on our senior books is the last thing we should be doing.Once the likes of Sadiki, Talbi and Diarra are counted as senior players, we're going to be knackered, squad wise and recruitment wise. Doubly so, were we to qualify for Europe. We have Moore, Cirkin, Ballard and O9 as senior home grown players, meaning we can only have 21 senior players, as it is. Selling Ballard is needlessly hamstringing ourselves.
Or his new contract extension he’s just signed

Isnt Rigg now à senior home grown player?

In European terms, he counts as club grown. You need to have 4 for a full 25 man squad. We're a bit short on that front
Should be able to get a 23 or 24 man squad though for the European competition (if we qualify of course) I would have thought? We're not going to have 4 homegrown club players good enough and Rigg and maybe Patterson as backup making up two of them.

Can’t imagine Ghisolfi allowing the club to shoot itself in the foot
Thing is, club grown is what it says. I think at the moment there's only Patto, Neil, Rigg and Young anywhere near the first team who would be club grown senior players. And the first two probably won't be here. Of the U21s, there's only really Tutieriov and Ogunsuyi look prospects (maybe Neill, but he's very young). Abdullahi hasn't been with us long enough. Mayenda might squeak in the way that Saliba did for Arsenal, but that's up for debate.

I'm not giving Hume stick, just think he is getting shoe horned into the team just so he plays. I don't miss a game by the way😁, season ticket holder for 40years.

There is nothing about RLB that suggests he plays players out of loyalty only, it’s an insult to him as well as Hume.
In its simplest form RLB has chosen to use Hume in a floating role to provide defensive cover when on the back foot and to cover other defenders when we attack.

Our form has started to improve with this hybrid and fluid set up.
Of course they do. I think he does change the system to accommodate Hume, but that's what football generates, different opinions. It would be boring if we all thought the same. Why have a discussion board?

It’s not the discussion it’s the insults towards two people who more than most are responsible for where we are.
I know you said it was a joke , I just didn’t get it 🤷🏻
