England World Cup squad news

Why do people hammer every squad before we even travel. Reckon a guy who’s won the major prizes knows what he’s doing.

The biggest thing that I, and most people I've spoken to, are unhappy with is that he's been banging on for months about how he'll pick players based on form, and then he's left out a whole bunch of guys who have been in outstanding form!

Maguire, Gibbs-White, Shaw, Tomori, Wharton and Garner have all been in good form for months and all of them have been overlooked.

If you say you're going to pick on form, then leave out Maguire and Gibbs-White, respectively the most in form defender and midfielder we've got, it comes across just a tiny bit hypocritical!

Stick with it, it’s relevant

You better believe it...

1. IN the 1400s, a law was set forth in England that a man was allowed to beat his wife with a stick no thicker than his thumb, hence we have 'The rule of thumb'.

2. Many years ago, in Scotland, a new game was invented. It was ruled 'Gentlemen Only, Ladies Forbidden', and thus the word GOLF entered the English language.

3 Each King in a deck of playing cards, represents a great 'King' in history;

Spades - King David

Hearts, Charlemagne

Clubs, Alexander the Great

Diamonds, Julius Caesar

4. In Shakespeare's time, mattresses were secured on bedframes by ropes. When you pulled on the ropes the mattress support tightened, making the bed firmer to sleep on, hence, the phrase 'Goodnight, sleep tight'.

5. It was accepted practice in Babylon 4000 years ago that for a month after the wedding, the bride's father would supply his son in law with all the mead he could drink. Mead is a honey beer, and because their calendar was lunar based, this period was called the 'Honey month', which we know of today as the 'Honeymoon'.

6. Since 1966, English fans have said they are going to win the cup at the start of every football competition, hence the phrase, 'Deluded twats'.

..as an all round package and what Trent offers the team...it was a no brainer to pick him. Is Livramento just going to man mark his winger like?...he offers jack shit to the team. Watch Brobbey's goal for us at Newcastle this season....then come back and tell me Livramento is better....

Tina is shite. Slower than constipation anarl.

I reckon the BBC journalist writing the article on which England players have been selected is a West Ham fan!

😀

Our Thomas is building a team to compete in a specific competition. International football, as we all know, is a different beast to club football. Of one thing I am 100% sure; that Tuchel knows more about football than Maguire's mum. He is being ruthless in choosing players he believes will do him the job that needs doing. I have dreamed of Pep Guardiola being the manager with a fantastic array of talent at his disposal (Foden, Palmer, Bellingham, etc), but hard-nosed reality dictates that someone like Thomas will do a much better job. If we get to the semi-finals it will be a success, but whatever happens I am sure we will compete.

Tuchel seems desperate to be seen to be thinking independently but it comes across as zany and hubristic. Something about him is very unlikeable, not least the fact he has a gargoyle for a head.

Good after noon Mrs Tuchel wie heist Du? Hopefully your whipper snapper has a belting summer and returns home a national hero to our selves, il bid you adieu
