England World Cup squad news

So is O'Reilly going to be first choice lb? Lewis skelly going?
Guessing TAA won't go either
Squad hasn't been announced, so just piecing together the speculation but you'd assume O'Reilly starts. Lewis Skelly was the only one I didn't think of - all the other LBs have been confirmed as dropped, so must be Skelly in as backup I guess

If England play any team with one of our players in it, for example Xhaka Switzerland, all the mags in the England squad will shit and piss their pants, just like they did in the derby games

Can see why burn has been called up, he won't get a game but I suppose he covers 2 positions at a push, but there are fit left backs and livramento can play either side as cover as well, it seems daft not to take hall and leave burn.
Given the relative level of opponents Luke Shaw is a far better option at lb and could have covered cb in emergency... Let's be honest if it's a later stage game against top opposition, Dan Burn is the answer to absolutely no questions at all

Apart from France and maybe Spain all the squads are pretty shit. The pool of quality players is no where near what it was 20 years ago.

No trent I don't think, but he's an arsehole anyway, so good way of giving him a kick up the arse
Fair enough. He's not the best defender but, as with my opinion on burn Vs shaw, against the cannon fodder he'd be a good option going forward saving James for later stages

Looking something like this going by whose been dropped.

Pickford, Henderson, Trafford
Livramento, O'Reilly, Skelly
Guerhi, Konsa, Burn, Stones
James, White
Henderson, Mainoo, Rice, Anderson
Eze, Rogers, Bellingham, Saka, Gordon, Rashford, Madueke
Kane, Watkins, Toney

Think its just more distributed across all teams. So many teams have a world class player or two randomly splattered around. 20 years ago, the PL and other top leagues were a lot more home nation baised which meant the top teams had generally stronger pools to pick from.
