Southampton spying compendium thread

They have admitting doing it before 3 games:

Oxford away (they lost 2-1), Ipswich at home (they drew 2-2) and Boro in the play offs (they drew 0-0) so they didnt win any of the games in question. What a colossal waste of their time 😂😂
I think that's just the only times they've been caught but would be funny if anytime they've spied they've never won and it's cost them promotion.

Boro were spied upon, so could have been directly affected/cheated, in the specific competition.
Hypotheticals it comes down to, but ultimately boro battered them and just missed sitters. Southampton potentially have cheated multiple teams that could have completely effected finishing positions overall. Over two legs they still got beat despite being the better team, and all this does is punish hull having to plan for two potential opponents

Southampton have deservedly been disqualified from the Play-offs and they don't have a leg to stand on . They admitted to spying on Boro because they had been caught red handed but I suspect they have had to own up to the other two incidences against Oxford and Ipswich because they have probably been confronted with them.

It clear that rather than being an ill advised "one off" this has been an organised and systematic breach of the rules probably with some senior members of Southampton's staff involved. I bet that other Clubs in the Championship are even now going through their CCTV footage around the date that they play Saints . It wouldn't surprise me if a few more came forward with complaints. If they do the points deduction needs to be added to
Got to admit I didn’t think it would happen but fair play for dealing with it. It’s the right call. There will 100% be more to come from this one.

Not really, they might have lost all 3 if they didn’t spy 😉

Feel for the Southampton fans that didn't take the piss, imagine how gutted you'd be going from thinking you have some genius young manager taking you to the Premier League and then this happens.

I can say without doubt the worst pain of the lot from football.
It drags it up from those years back and will never forget it.

Losing a derby, relegation or losing a play off final insignificant.

You go to the highest of the highs and hit the lowest of the lows.
You will never have to experience that. It’s sickening.

would hazard a guess they've only admitted to spying on Oxford and Ipswich as there's evidence. no way they've just chosen those particular games

it's probably been systematic throughout the crazy run they went on - there's just a lack of proof
