If there's no sporting penalty, then its not banned. Its just allowable for a fee.If that happens you'll have every club in the play offs doing it. They brought this rule in specifically because they didn't like what Bielsa did, anything less than throwing Southampton out of the play offs encourages everyone to do it. Clubs get thrown out for admin errors with player eligibility, no reason this should carry a lessor punishment.
The biggest disgrace would be to move the final to the middle of next week. Hull fans would be out of pocket, some not able to attend due to work commitments. The spying took place 12 days ago and the EFL knew pretty much straight away. To not get this sorted earlier is an utter shambles and not acceptable.
No.Totally agree. That's whuly Hull should just go up.
For all their spying and whatever, Boro had 2 bites of the cherry and really should have put the 2nd leg beyond Southampton, but they wasted their chances.
To me, the fairest thing to do now is to just award it to Hull and then they can take their time in whatever extra punishment they want to dish out to Southampton.
EFL not in control, it is up to the panelDelayed till tomorrow in typical EFL fashion of being useless.
Swindon cheated before their playoff semi. That result stood and the other finalist got promoted.No.
It's nothing to do with Hull. Southampton cheated before a game with Boro. So Southampton should be disqualified and that means Boro go to the final.
No because the FL will tell them to say nowt until whichever time in the morning after the press release. If that was the case, wouldn't Southampton just release a statement today saying they've received confirmation that they're in the final?
They are lucky to have found a panel plus space at the IDRC in such short period of time. The biggest disgrace would be to move the final to the middle of next week. Hull fans would be out of pocket, some not able to attend due to work commitments. The spying took place 12 days ago and the EFL knew pretty much straight away. They are never going to scrap the final. While they might not give a toss about the fans with last minute match re-arrangement and the additional cost implications, it would mean the EFL losing out on the TV, ticket, sponsors money etcTotally agree. That's whuly Hull should just go up.

Be next Wednesday night no doubt. The biggest disgrace would be to move the final to the middle of next week. Hull fans would be out of pocket, some not able to attend due to work commitments. You missed a bitBe next Wednesday night no doubt before the decision is known,
Must feel like an eternity for the Boro fans. Not Southampton though because almost to a man they are totally convinced they aren't getting kicked out of the final. You missed a bit
That's where the punishment will get more severe. If they find themselves in a position where the panel suggest Southampton be disqualified but let the semi outcome stand. They are never going to scrap the final. While they might not give a toss about the fans with last minute match re-arrangement and the additional cost implications, it would mean the EFL losing out on the TV, ticket, sponsors money etc
Just put them in L2 plus points deduction. That's where the punishment will get more severe. If they find themselves in a position where the panel suggest Southampton be disqualified but let the semi outcome stand.
Messing with their money, I bet it would be a record points deduction for next season.
That’s not the feeling down here in Hampshire.Must feel like an eternity for the Boro fans. Not Southampton though because almost to a man they are totally convinced they aren't getting kicked out of the final.
In the Green Tree, lots and lots of wide eyed smoggies.Lots of eyes though?
Exactly this.If there's no sporting penalty, then its not banned. Its just allowable for a fee.
