PIF are becoming increasingly cost conscious across their sporting portfolio and pulling back spending.

They fact they are keeping Howe as they don't want to fork out 2 years worth of payoffs for him and his staff and deals for a new manager and staff on top says it all.

A sure sign that PIF are starting to lose interest in Newcastle as well as several of their other sporting projects.

Agree and love the way they are building up there super new striker Osula and the midfield magician Big Walt, even read Wissa will be at Eddie`s Newcastle fitness level for next season. FFS
Setting seeds for not changing much on the pitch either.

Fair point, I'd expect most businesses capable of funding this thing wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

Maybe the Saudis know this, they'll say they tried to get a new stadium but there was no investment...

Easy. Any new stadium will cost them at least 2bn. They are also certain to ask the Govt for help as well.

It should also be noted that Leazes Park isn’t big enough either.
 
When they were taken over and we were dicking about in League One a lot of us were, quite rightly, worried that ‘we’d lose a generation of fans to that lot’ etc etc.

Turns out that managing your club better rather than throwing cash at it is the way forward and it’s only took 5 years for us to get ahead of them.

And all they’ve got out of it, is a League Cup, a few games in the Champions League and all they’ve had to do is pretend they love being owned by despots.

Now the Saudi’s are struggling, trying to get investors to try and build a new ground but where? How long’s it going to take? And there’s speculation that all their best players want to bugger off

Genuinely this is the best case scenario we could’ve hoped for :lol:
 
I knowing the square route of nothing about business or how finances in football work, but I have a gut feeling that this isn’t great news for the jordie hordz.
