PGMOL apologise to Forest

This seems the best solution to me, but as you say they won't do that without adding a list of permutations to consider - which will end up muddying the water and bringing about more subjectivity.
They'll bring in the permutations to appease idiots who will look at two different incidents that bare no resemblance to each other apart from one factor that they'll cling onto as proof that the decisions are inconsistent.

You're forgetting Bournemouth away as well! 😱
And another thing we are forgetting about this game the ref added a minimum of 8 minutes added time and then played on for another 6 minutes after that. I can't remember any delays in that 8 minutes that warranted another 6 minutes. The ref must have been as bent as his boomerang.

I agree. They need to revert to the original rule and make a decision as to whether they think it was deliberate hand ball, or not. Why make it so complicated with any other questions?
And that's what all the nonsense stemmed from. 'Deliberate' turned into a tick box of criteria that don't actually adequately cover what 'deliberate' is. It isn't be defined by a set of criteria, it's just a judgement of instinct on every individual incident. They started trying to 'define' what deliberate is by implementing a set of criteria and that's where we've gone wrong.

You're holding, or you are not.
That's where I disagree. 'Holding' isn't even close to binary. It ranges from a hand on the arm to full on Chiellini style strangulation on Saka with thousands of degrees in between. Where do you draw the line? Even when the line is drawn you'll get people endlessly debating whether or not the bar has been met.

For not ruling out Cunha’s goal after Mbuemo’s hand ball.

It’s just ridiculous isn’t it? How can the ref miss it in real time, have his mate say “you might want to look at this”, watch a replay, and still get it wrong?

If the people refereeing the game don’t know the rules, what are they doing there in the first place?
Man united got the win though which is what the FA wanted…. VAR is just another fix for the night clubs

VAR pulls refs and tells them the crack, which the ref always goes with - corruption!

This time VAR pulls the ref and he goes against and sticks with his decision - corruption!

It's just officials making judgement calls, either on the pitch or behind a screen. And with judgement comes differing opinions and perceived mistakes.
Just get rid of VAR. Simple as that.
And get back to people claiming corruption, big team bias and hopeless officials. Oh....

He’s got more front than Brighton that Howard Webb. Has he apologised to the lad who was Kung Fu’d in the WC Final?

At what point will actual prominent journalists & pundits start calling out the incompetence?

The only thing that’ll change it, is sustained public pressure.
