It’s great isn’t it? Did you manage to work your way along all the tanks? Not much craft in Hampstead but the Tipsy Dog was a great little find. Enjoyed my few hours in Howling Hops too when dodging about Hackney and the Wick.
Did 6 of the 10 then moved on as was getting rammed with West Ham lot. Enjoyed a couple in Church Brew in Hackney as well (the missus enjoys the craft places and tap rooms but does like a proper pub and wine bar too, which I was more than happy to also frequent, so moved about a bit). The Queens Head in KC was also visited again for a few hours before the train back. Cracking pub that (always got good beers on, and always fridge stacked with Sonoma too). It’s great isn’t it? Reet, what do we think for the newest batch of Yellow Belly, price wise, 330ml.
Is £10 cheap? (Absolutely mad that I’m saying that about a beer, but it could be cheap, couldn’t it?!)
Think my days of buying loads of big impys are almost gone, I’ll stick to mainly the supermarket gear for the odd time I do drink them, which is rare now.Don't like peanut stouts so no idea. But I just paid £11 for a 440ml Cloudwater stout. Always happy to help.
Feels like we are watching a respected thoroughbred stumbling over Becher’s Brook, as a vet loads a round into the revolver mere yards away.Think my days of buying loads of big impys are almost gone, I’ll stick to mainly the supermarket gear for the odd time I do drink them, which is rare now.
But I’m happy to stockpile a few of the big guns. This was seen as the daddy back in the day. I’ve had an incarnation before, gave it 4/5 on untapped apparently. Which isn’t as good as the 5/5 I gave for the Yellow Belly Scotch Sundae which I can’t remember having.
On that note, I’ve got a reminder set for this years Bourbon County Brand Stout.
Drinking habits have changed mate. Covid opened me up to a few big ones in the house watching YouTube. Now it’s a drink or two before I go out, no good for a 10%er.Feels like we are watching a respected thoroughbred stumbling over Becher’s Brook, as a vet loads a round into the revolver mere yards away.
See - that’s why you need the big guns in, on standby. After watching that dogshit, you needed a memory blitzer.Drinking habits have changed mate. Covid opened me up to a few big ones in the house watching YouTube. Now it’s a drink or two before I go out, no good for a 10%er.
Shame, because the Impy stouts are much better drinks than the session gear, but I’d rarely drink in the house for the craic these days & it’s not conducive to being out with other people for drink.
Had my last 2021 Bourbon County Brand stout before Notts Forest, but knew I was straight to the match & home after.

I know what you mean though. I have to plan my impy drinks very carefully. Never before a work night. Never when the bairn is here. It’s a very limited window.
Mind, I’ve got one or two that might be 5 year old now. Need to get them smashed. The good thing about the impy stouts is they keep for ages, so don't mind stocking up on them when I see ones I fancy. Ideal for a "build a box" order then hoy a few fresh hoppy ones in further down the line when I'm running low and gonna take delivery
A 10%er before the match isn’t ideal like. Unless it’s just one.all this big stout talk has got me jealous
i may have to try again this weekend, Heading to azvex after Everton this weekend, so lets see how it goes
Still love getting amongst the big hitters at home and still usually just have one of two beers across the night, so no issue re getting stotting/hangovers next morning.See - that’s why you need the big guns in, on standby. After watching that dogshit, you needed a memory blitzer.

Excellent. I think I’m down to about 10. The Trembling Madness hauls have been routed.Still love getting amongst the big hitters at home and still usually just have one of two beers across the night, so no issue re getting stotting/hangovers next morning.
Just had a nosey and currently got 30 beers stocked. 28 of them are stouts (not all impys mind) so need to get a few more IPAs/Pales in.
Agreed.
