Anthony Gordon to Bayern.

He’s nowhere near good enough for a team like Bayern
Of course he is, it will be very easy for him in the Bundesliga. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting averaged a goal every 27 mins for Bayern and he couldn't hit a barn door at Stoke. Bayern have potentially 5 difficult games a season, The CL from the Quarter Final stage onwards.

Woltemade away as well, whether that's loan or permanent, you'd think? Or is Howe thinking he'll follow the Joelinton route to CM?
Get rid of both if they can. Both as loans wouldn’t help the cash flow situation, beyond getting a portion of their wages off the balance sheet.
I believe there is a footballer there. Just not sure what role is needed to bring it out. Or perhaps this is the wrong league.

He’d get loads of game time - probably a majority - and almost certainly win a league trophy. Sounds class to me
I used to live in Munich and the proximity to the Alps and lakes was always a bonus too!
never understand this view - top clubs need squads with high quality depth
And I would be inclined to agree besides the fact that Bayern have a plethora of talent in the attacking midfield sense. But obviously they see him fitting in somewhere.

Funny thing is Bayern don't have cash to burn so if he wants to go the scum aren't getting big money for him

Shame it looks like it will be done quickly.
Really hope Bayern don't do a Liverpool and pay way over the odds......they need to stuck to their original valuation of around £50million maximum. When you analyse him properly, he is a very average player, who is fast and can cheat a few penalties.

I really don't see in what world this would be done quickly? Bayern will be happy to sit back and negotiate hard, the player will be at the world cup most of the summer so it's not like the player will be with them until mid July at the earliest. Probably worth waiting to see if any injury occurs while he's out there, why take on the risk?

There's also the matter of the Bayern CEO making those disparaging comments about Newcastle's negotiating skills with the Woltemade transfer, so there might be a few games go on there.

Because if he has a class World Cup the mags might want more money?

Shocker Anthony Gordon signs for the team in Germany that famously had the swastika in it’s crest during the years 1933 to 1945. He just loves being the stooge of despots. He’ll probably ask if he can play in the retro kit and see if he can become the Unity Mitford of the 21st century.

Can’t wait for him to heil Kompany, and Vincent politely tell him “no we don’t do that here”.

Won’t be shocked to see him put in a transfer request for Lazio or CSKA Moscow after that.

(Ignore all the positive things i’ve said about Bayerns playstyle, and Harry Kane, it’s irrelevant whilst i’m being irreverent thanks)

The scouse Quisling.

Good point. This could be the Saudis attempts at striking an early deal. The complete opposite of the Isak thing whereas better to be somewhere in the middle?
