Southampton spying compendium thread

Very telling from the EFL that they are instructing fans to pay close attention to T&C’s of ticket sales and to also take that into account when booking travel and accommodation. Clearly soutampton not playing in the final is on the table and they are making fans aware EFL isn’t liable for any costs incurred if they don’t play.

Realistically if I was a Southampton fan I’d make sure a hotel was refundable and hold off on any transport yet

More likely aimed at hull fans who have already booked trains and accomodation

Could they potentially just promote Hull?
Mind Boro were the injured party so they need some sort of recompense?

5Live confirmed final may be postponed.

Hearing on Tuesday apparently

Fans of Hull will also benefit the most if they’re playing Boro rather than Southampton.
Not true. Hull are currently preparing their tactics based on Southampton. This could hinder their preparation.

Southampton beat Boro so Boro don't deserve to be in the final. Southampton don't deserve to be in the final because they cheated. Hull should be promoted automatically but of course money talks and all that sponsorship and viewing money needs to be gobbled up.

Were there any warning signs that trespassers would be reported to authorities and any benefits from watching people have a kick about ? Did it state it was private land owner by Middlesbrough FC ? No cameras or filming allowed ? 46 Championship matches played. How many variations can you have FFs !Boro had more than enough chances to wrap up the game in first 45 mins at the Riverside ! 🤷‍♂️
It’s a lot more than that though isn’t it. There’s an EFL regulation which clearly prohibits observing, or attempting to observe another clubs training session 72 hours prior to kickoff. The gate at Rockliffe which leads down to the training pitches does have a big “private property” sign on it anarl. The tree the lad was hiding behind was right outside that gate.

Aye, Boro should have put the game to bed comfortably. But Boro’s wasted chances shouldn’t erase the fact that Southampton still cheated.

And to the Hull fans who have already booked everything? It's a disgrace they didn't announce this prior to the second leg of the Hull v Millwall match.

I think they are looking at a punishment that will reduce the legal appeals as much as possible. Southampton broke the rules directly relating to the boro home tie, I think southamton forfeit that game. Therefore they aren’t techinally thrown out of the play offs they lose it on aggregate

A Southampton fan does not need a hotel. A two hour drive to Wembley.

This. 3-0 forfeit. Adiós Southampton

You can't assume they all live in Southampton 😂. I don't support my local team Barcelona haha

Lots of arrogance from Southampton and their fans around this. Knacker on Talksport earlier claiming they won fair and square despite cheating. Its ridiculous everyone is berating them apparently.

Get the cheating fuckers kicked out.

EFL should kick Southampton out now, IF they think they have enough proof of cheating. Boro go to final. Job done.

Invite Southampton to sue, telling them that they have the proof. Put the ball in Southamptons court.

Anything else is playing into Saints hands delaying things. Worked for Trump mind.

I know it’s a rule but I honestly don’t see it as a big thing.

Seem to be in the minority on here but there are worse forms of cheating and skullduggery as far as I’m concerned.

Southampton beat Boro by cheating, so surely they deserve to be in the final
