The current rules, one of which Southampton have been charged with, make provision for the FL expelling the offending club from the competition. I.E. being kicked out of the football league entirely. My bet is. Huge fine. Either if they win or not.
Future rules to be changed, if caught spying you forfeit your next game, including playoff games etc.
They’ve probably thought after Leeds it wouldn’t happen again. Now it has it needs properly looking at being a punishment harsh enough for it to stop it.

Apparently playoffs will be replayed as Wrexham take a place in playoffs
TBF to Boro, they've been on the other end of it so probably feel they've a right to make sure they aren't cheated themselves.Classic Boro, the ultimate curtain twitchers. Remember they were trying to get Bolton and Derby docked points.
Mutant headed police informers.
Wonder what all the other clubs will get if they’ve also been cheated by SotonMentions possibly awarding boro a 3-0 forfeit win for first leg. You can't do that retrospectively after tonight as it changes the entire dynamic of the 2nd leg.
Absolute farce
Agree. Its cheating simple as that! And that's even though it's our Teesside dwelling, hills have eyes 'neighbours', I'd say the same if it was any other club too. They were cheating to gain an advantage in a situation which has a consequence of £100ms. The sanction has to reflect that. Expulsion is the only sanction. How is that a low?
Got a feeling their manager gets poached regardless meBoro or Hull going up is ideal for us, Southampton are more of a threat in my opinion.
Baffled and tonight is just devalued but will watch out of morbid curiosity to see what plays out
So a lone wolf intern spied on multiple clubs and until last week Southampton assmued he/she was a genius analyst?
Got a feeling their manager gets poached regardless me
No-one I knew had heard anything about this until some time after the play off final and I don’t recall any whispers in the Sunderland Echo.
In Bob Murray’s autobiography he said that he and other officials/journalists all knew about it and it was being discussed in the hotels around Wembley before the match.
None of them are a threat we won’t be anywhere near relegation next season as we haven’t this…Boro or Hull going up is ideal for us, Southampton are more of a threat in my opinion.
We can’t assume anything.None of them are a threat we won’t be anywhere near relegation next season as we haven’t this…
Where does it state that? I've been trying to find it with no success
You reckon other clubs fans are saying this? Surely there must come a point where we accept we have a good team.We can’t assume anything.

The logical flow would be.
- Club breaches Regulation 127 (Southampton have and have been charged under R127)
- League investigates under Regulation 84
- Case is referred to a Disciplinary Commission under Regulation 85.1.2 (it has been)
- Commission hears the case under Regulations 90–92
- Commission imposes sanctions under Regulation 93
- Regulation 93 allows any order it considers appropriate
- Regulation 94 sets out what happens if that order is expulsion
I’m sure there’s a few thinking it. I highly doubt Spurs and West Ham thought they would be going head to head for relegation. Anything can happen. You reckon other clubs fans are saying this? Surely there must come a point where we accept we have a good team.
