Southampton spying compendium thread

Daft question-as you seem pretty certain marra this will “ blow over “-( ànd May be proven correct ?) but how can you be so adamant ?
I’m looking from outside and have no idea either way what will happen ?
( I now hope Boro smash them)

Im not adamant at all tbh, not really interested in it but saw an opportunity for light entertainment and took it. Got to commit to the bit.

Boro won't forget it and Gibson will take it as far as he can. Rightly so as well.

Doesn't really matter if Boro forget it, does it?
Southampton should be forced to disclose their starting line up now and not be allowed to depart from it.

As a start.

I love that idea. All square.

They couldn't enforce that. They could just say someone picked up an injury before the game and they couldn't disprove it. Similar to why teams get their goalkeepers to fake injuries and players to pretend they've got head injuries during the game for tactical reasons.

They should also have to show their set pieces, and if a player puts a foot out of line, free kick.

Then make them use a sub

If Southampton are gonna be disqualified, then it needs to be done after (if) they beat us..
It's not fair on us (as the club allegedly cheated against) to be knocked out unfairly, whilst a team that hasn't been cheated against gets a free pass into the premier league.

Embarrassing the Bereh trying to get a free pass into the proper leagues.

Hull grinding their way into the final like a proper clerb.

Southampton have asked for more time over spying claims according to BBC.
Must be having trouble getting their story straight or need a few more rehearsals.
Normally the club would have 14 days to respond, but EFL has asked the independent (?) disciplinary commission for "a hearing at the earliest opportunity".

Were there any rumours before the match that Swindon could be demoted?
From memory, it was a well known possibility that Swindon were in trouble. At the final whistle, I remember having the conversation with friends that we were probably going up anyway from the reports.

Given that, Blackburn were probably harshly treated, and a fairer decision would have been to replay the playoff final with Blackburn Vs Sunderland. Glad they didn't though
