NFL 2026

Well the Bears draft was a head scratcher to say the least

Waiting until the 6th round to address the worst D-Line in the league is very Ryan Poles

Well that was a bit hit and miss from the Ravens.

Thought EDC could do well without the influence of Harbaugh. And he did okay.

Was over the moon with the 1st 3 picks. Addressed the OL with a proper guard Ioane. Edge rusher in Zion Young and a built WR who can contest catches in Jacobi lane.

After that, I'm a bit underwhelmed. They traded up in the 4th round for another pick. Everyone was expecting a centre to replace Linderbaum. Sam Hect was still there and they went for a TE. Bloody stupid.

I see the Cowboys stitched yous up over Makai Lemon. Not great look for someone in the backroom staff
Aye maybe not the wisest decision from the Cowboys though helping out a division rival, hopefully he drops 100+ yards and 3 TDs against them everytime they play.

What's the consensus on the Ravens draft?

It was the type of thing where, if it was the Jets (or Browns, or one of them teams) it would have been meme city and utter sheer mockery.

Rightly so btw, if was embarrassing and horrifically unprofessional.

Honestly mate it’s a real mixture of reactions truth be told. First two rounds weren’t flashy picks but absolutely the right ones.

They've clearly had a plan to get bigger and more physical which is obvious by the picks including the owners first ever pick who at RB is even bigger than Henry

The confusion / disappointment im seeing is clearly in lack of a center coming in. Especially trading up once and taking a TE and double dipping at WR relatively early on but as EDC said there’s still plenty time and we recently signed the Penn state C as an UDFA who has played along side Ioane, so familiarity there I guess.

There’s a clear upside in the picks and the new coaches have a lot of recent knowledge of the college game with a lot of them coming from various schools, so hopefully they’re ahead of the curve.

There’ll definitely be investigations and before long a firing with name straight in the media.

FWIW I loved your draft class. Felt you nailed a lot of your picks

Ravens have signed a fair few undrafted players. One of which played centre with Ioane at college. Nick Dawkins. Might not be a starter but I feel a bit better about not signing a C in the draft. I still would have liked Slaughter or Jones even Hecht but they would have been too high for EDC but they would have started imo. Unless you think Bullock or Pinter will step up. I still feel they need to sign a veteran to push for a starting spot.

OL is much much better with a guard like Ioane. Hopefully these insane stats from last year aren't a flash in the pan. He didn't let anyone touch his QB. Quite literally. No sacks allowed, no tackles and only 4 hurries.

Lamar could do with some proper protection. Last time he did, he had a good year.

With UDFA we had the space for them as we had the smallest roster leading up to the inital 90 that can be on. Sure it was something like only 45 players.

For me Pinter is just another body for offseason practices, but I suspect the C that will start isn't even on the roster yet and they'll wait for some post June 1st releases before making moves. I'd still like to see Clowney come back on a 1 year deal though to round of the pass rush side of things

Yeah, I'm hoping the Jesse Minter 'effect' will turn a few of the players into defensive beasts. I'm particularly looking forward to seeing Mike Green and Malaki Starks come on. Even the likes of Hamilton, Wiggins and Smith should be back to their best under Minter and Weaver. That's why I was surprised Linderbaum went to the Raiders. Thought he would stay and get back to his best too.
- I hope they've got someone lined up for centre. At the moment we have got rookies and average joe's vying for the starting spot. Venga Iaone automatically becomes their best player in the OL at guard. I'm not enamoured with Simpson or Vorheese. OLine is still a worry.
- I'm expecting the pass rush to be exceptional this year. Hendrickson and Zion young with a 2nd year Mike Green. Robinson and Isaac coming back from injuries. They can't be any worse than last year. The oppo QB's could have smoked cigars the time they had before they had to throw.

Schedule due for release this Thursday

Going to try and get down London for one of the games (avoiding Jacksonville if possible - sick of those bastards every year)

Rumour has it the non-Jags game at Spurs will be Commanders v Texans

Aye my mates a Skins fans and we are going to try and get tickets for their game whoever they play.

Bears Seahawks to open the season being rumoured

Good article in The Athletic today explaining how the fixture list compiles itself automatically.
Formula picks the games but not the game order. Apparently they reckon Seahawks v Chiefs will be held later in the season to give Mahomes a chance to get fit for that game. What? Hand pick 1st game of season to give it a chance to start with a bang (hence Seahawks v Bears speculation).
It's just not cricket guv 😉

Bengals in Madrid? Go on then. Hotel booked.

Never been to any of the games over here, what’s it usually like for ticket availability?

I reckon an absolute ballache. Join a queue randomly when they go on sale, I think it was Berlin people were joining the queue at number 1,500,000 (something like that). It's not as bad here in the UK, probably because we are an island and we get quite a few games
