New draft month, new season, new thread.

Lots of moves in free agency, some of the bigger moves below...

No more double Monday night games but we could be seeing Wednesday night, albeit only the evening before Thanksgiving....

And a few rules changes.....

About as mint as the Dolphins 175 million dollar dead cap
Only the mags have wasted more money this year.

Read that BBC article earlier, Rams made some interesting signings.

Already looking forward to trying to pick all 8 divisional winners and having a bet. 247 line "Goliath" to cover every combination.

Is there an official draft guide/magazine that you can buy anywhere?
Theres one by Lindys that you can buy online.

Its a US magazine. Best there is. Im sure you get it in UK. I used to buy through a group on facebook that used to bulk buy from the US and bring stuff over in massive shipments.

That NFL draft movie with Brendan Rogers/Kevin Costner was actually quite watchable
I want my picks back!!!

Bills

I'll look properly before the season starts but quicky picked 8 to see the odds check value and went with
Bills
Steelers
Texans
Chiefs
Cowboys
Packers
Rams
Panthers

Think it might be a Bears game in Chicago we aim for this year.

Going for

Broncos
Ravens
Patriots
Texans

Seahawks
Packers
Giants
Saints

There's usually a couple that go worst to first in the space of a year. I think the Saints especially are shaping up canny if they draft well

Lawrence to the Bengals earlier this week gives the Giants 2 top ten picks going into Thursday's draft. I've a long weekend off starting this Friday so I'll probs end up watching a bunch of players being signed by everyone without any sort of clue who anyone is apart from a handful of the nigger prospects who have been mentioned a lot recently.

Erm... you might want to edit that if you can!

f***ing hell, I can't. It's too late  (mods, please???) @Pancho ???

All timer of a fat finger job there mind

Anyone follow the draft much? Ive got right into it this year. Whose everyone's team and who are you wanting ideally?

Noise from the talking heads is that this year is quite talent limited from top to bottom. Apparently 2027 is stacked however

I watch it most years and I haven't a clue who the vast majority are. I follow the Dolphins but don't really care if they lose so not their biggest supporter.
That said, they need players in almost every single position so they need to go for whoever is the very best player in the draft when they get to their picks. I'm kinda hoping it'll be Mansoor Delane (CB) or Caleb Downs (S) mainly because I've heard they are really good prospects. The Dolphins secondary is probably worse than their other really bad positions such as Edge, Wide Receiver, Defensive Line or Offensive Line although that is debatable. I guess they'll be after a good WR with their second pick (30) and they'll get one of those two or an offensive lineman with the 1st (11).

Aye the Dolphins look rough this year. More holes to fill than draft picks. They've stitched your new HC and QB right up imo

They could go a lot of directions, but aye - take the best CB at 11 (Jermod McCoy for me) and target a tier-2 WR or OL at the backend of the first is likely

McCoy I would've thought will be gone by the time it's their pick so more likely it'll be Delane but even he might also be gone. They have the ability to be flexible with who they go for based on the fact they have so many needs

Apparently the Bengals took Lawrence because the best defensive players will be off the board by the time they pick..decent run blocker but only half a sack last season..we'll see ..🤷🏻‍♂️
