Matty Young .

Excellent.

Hopefully Salford get promoted and he can go on loan there next season in league one. Constantly testing himself at a higher level each time.
I'd want him in the championship next season personally.

He had half a season at salford in league 2, last season ideally would have been his league 1 year but the club decided familiarity of a full year back at salford would benefit. He's 19 now, no reason he can't be playing at championship level and playing fairly well. Then the year after the club can assess if he's ready

It depends if anyone in the championship is interested in him.

I’d assume we’d only loan him out to a team who’d have him as first choice. I’m not sure anyone in the championship would take that gamble.
Cardiff are interested for the championship season.
Where has this been reported?

post above suggests Cardiff are interested. That sort of move would be great for him imo. Good test of playing in a side who might play under pressure at times, big learning curve for a young goalkeeper. Managing the back line, commanding the area etc.

If it’s genuine interest and they want him as first choice, then I’d agree. Send him to the championship.

If they only see him as backup, then it’s a bit pointless for his development. Needs to be playing.
