Matty Young .

I've need seen a great deal of him. How confident is he with his feet?

L1 for me next season then the Championship the season after. He’d be first choice at any L1 club. No point in wasting a season or half a season on the bench at a championship club.
Yep

Very.

He's a big unit and a great prospect. I would seriously think about keeping him for our European games as I think he has a far higher ceiling than Ellborg.
Pickford retires after 2030 World Cup, just in time for Young to take on the number 1 role for England, and we'll have Sunderland lads locked in to that position for over 20 years. Sorted.

Quite a few championship clubs interested in taking him on loan
Boro would be a cracking option. I do say that about most of the young lads mind, as it keeps them local to home, with a chance to play for a team that shouldnt struggle.

Whether they would take the risk is a different story, as he is still very young. That said, he is highly rated so might get the chance

He was reasonably but Salford dont really play that way so idk now.

He was never as confident as roefs is but that might come.

Parkyball

I’d imagine just given the way young players are coached these days he’s pretty decent with his feet.

The lad is good, I’d hope he could swing a Championship club or being our reserve keeper next season provided Roefs stays.

Don’t think there’ll be much between him and Ellborg.
