Well, this is a big problem with the "no moon landing" theory. It's not just NASA lying in that scenario, it's the space agencies and governments of every country in the world, and every citizen that owns a telescope.

The feasibility of such a huge conspiracy is so much more unlikely than them actually sending someone to the moon.

No, I think you imagined that. It would be huge news if NASA came out and said that, rather than being quietly swept under the carpet.

There would also be questions asked as to why so many competing nations independently verified it.

Every space agency and government for the last 57 years. Every single one and not one has decided to spill the beans to either make themselves look better or put the Americans down a bit. It is not like the American government is particularly popular at the moment is it?

Nukey was special. He invented his own branch of science to explain away everything. Physics, Chemistry and biology with that strange mental effect that makes your brain process the slight of lightning differently to the sound of thunder depending on the distance (both are the same thing and arrive together). Then there was his own branch of maths where not all right angles are equal but you can make your own with a 2-3-4 triangle.

Cosmo and Blackcat are rank amateurs by comparison. Just one liners and you tube hits.

It has to be pretty tiring. Imagine that you put in all that work, training and make sacrifices to become an astronaut. The number of people who apply is staggering, so it is a huge achievement to be selected and really be the cream of the bunch. Then you top that off with actually piloting a spacecraft around the moon, or to the ISS etc. You stand out as one of humanities great achievers.

But where ever you go, on all social media etc, there is always someone there to call you a liar and a fake. It is not just encountering one now and then. Imagine that everywhere you go, someone who has achieved fuck all in their life except be sucked in by a few YouTube videos, is there to say 'liar liar liar'.

I can't blame Aldrin for snapping one day.

Imagine it applied to our lives. You go out and someone is there "You didn't really get a degree. You don't own your house. You didn't work there". Oh fuck off, you sad little nobody.
