Xhaka on RLB

Well he’s hardly going to come out and say RLB is a dullard or such like
RLB has done very well to keep us up. Mission accomplished
I’d say the modern manager is very much in same mould
Intense, devoted, workaholics
I’d say RLB should be uttering similar levels of praise for Xhaka because without him we would be down
Why do I get the feeling you're a very angry person?

I’ve just read the article as I subscribe to the times but it’s behind paywall so not sure how to share the link but I know some people manage to do it sometimes.

He says his wife loves the area and his kids and loving school here wand she doesn’t want to leave, even though she didn’t want to come initially. This bodes well for us.
This is the most important thing in the article. They seem to have really bought in to the area.

Honestly I hope he retires with us then becomes manager.

Its a pipe dream but imagine.
I don't think its that much of a pipe dream

At the very least he'll be a coach

Go back and read or watch his interview about joining, KLD has promised him after playing position

He talks then of a great desire to coach in the future, potentially at Sunderland. Xhaka is 33 now. He signed a three-year contract when he moved to the Stadium of Light last summer and his form has been excellent.
“If it’s in two years, I can’t tell you,” he says of becoming a coach. “If it’s in five years, I don’t know. I will coach where I feel the most happy. Let’s say that, if it’s Sunderland, it’s Sunderland. If they are ready to get me like a coach, I’m more than happy to take it. If not, somewhere else. But I’m working on it.
“I spoke with Xabi [Alonso] — ‘When was the point you had the feeling you want to be from a player to coach?’ I would ask him. ‘Play as long as possible,’ he would say. Mikel [Arteta] said the same.”
If hes still playing for us in 2-3 years time the club needs to ensure that things havnt turned "sour" if the long term aim is for him to go into coaching / management with us. Thats a great incentive for the club to keep the pot boiling nicely and subsequently this close season is a massive one as Granit wont stick around if he things the project is going backwards

Xhaka already demonstrating his leadership and man management credentials.

He will have sussed the disquiet in the camp with the players exhibiting trepidation of a potential 5th defeat in six home games and mumurs in the dressing room of RLB is a clueless bluffer.

So he is trying to rally the troops as he cant come out and say he is a great tactitian and coach as would lose all credibility with the players so comes out with some faint but non specific praise to try to say its not great now but maybe in the future.

Dear me .

You mention credibility. You have none.

Xhaka is still as fit as a 21 year old.

He could, I hope, still do another two seasons with us yet.

Yeah I follow her on insta, just did it being nosey really and you get that vibe. She is always out for walks with the kids either in the parks or on the beaches. Seems to love Seaburn.

She promotes local business on her insta stories too. Pleased she's settled here then. His daughters are gonna end up with Mackem accents ha
Lives in Gosforth apparently

Anyone got the full article to post?
I heard he says something about managing Sunderland, not sure.
This the link:

It seemed improbable that when he joined it was merely to get a half decent contract back in the PL. I’m sure he could have had offers from Italy, Spain and without a doubt a few other PL clubs. I’m convinced he’s been promised a role leading to coaching here

"Hi ChatGPT please write some absolute bollocks for me regarding Granit Xhaka saying Regis Le Bris is the dogs bollocks. Thanking you "

😂 carry on mate love a good chuckle while having my dinner!!

On Le Bris, the quiet head coach, Xhaka adds: “He’s very special. The first call that I had with him, it was exactly what I was hoping he is. He’s a football freak in a positive way. He looks very deep, the details, as well with the ball, without the ball.

“I call him like a second Arsène Wenger. I went to him already about the mindset, how he can be so — not relaxed — but very calm, so you don’t see him screaming. He’s always under control and this is maybe for my future. He gives me some advice which is very helpful.”
Put it this way. If every premier league manager is guaranteed to have a heart attack on the touchline he will be the last.

Beat that😂😂

Still think Xhaka is the succession plan in a few years. Although these lot have shown to be ruthless (to good success mind you).

This is getting too obvious now
