Talbi

Reckon there’s a lot more to come. He is certainly very rapid and not afraid to have a pop
Keeps getting shunted around and when he plays LW he has rarely had a settled competent LB behind him, which to me is crucial

I really like him and I think he could have a very high ceiling, but he needs to be more positive and impact games more consistently. Whether that's our system, his confidence / experience / attitude, I don't know, but he needs to do more.

Really poor 1v1, decision making not great, gets shoved off the ball, crossing is a weakness.

Works hard defensively which is good but most moves break down when the ball gets to him. Has a cracking shot on him.

I hope we prioritise better wingers in the summer. There’s a lad who’s played in the championship this season better than every winger at the club.
Spot on.

Based on what? His last stint in the premier league? Let’s not forget what league Clarke was playing in at Talbis age for a start. Talbi has more champions league goals than Clarke has premier league goals iirc.

Talbi is 20, it’s his first season at this level as a league. He’s been in an out of the team sometimes on the back of his best showings. Been away to an international tournament that’s also broken his league up. We’ve been inconsistent as a team and our overall forward play is our weakest point which doesn’t help if we’re lumping our attacking intent on the shoulders of a rookie 20 year old.

Talbi ceiling is higher than Clarkes he’s already played at a higher level than Clarke the forums obsession with former players is a bizarre one as much as I loved watching Clarke here his record in the premier league isn’t what we should be aiming for, the lads struggled to nail down a consistent spot for a championship side this season.

If you bothered to check, I highlighted the Talbi assessment only which I thought was spot on.

I think he has a very good future. 20 year old winger who works hard as well. Wingers are as said inconsistent but I expect bigger things from him next season

I think Talbi is an unbelievable prospect who I think will develop into a cracking player. I do also think due to his age, moving to a different country and culture, plus the fact he is still very young would tell you that given some of the glimpses of quality he has shown then he has a chance. Sometimes we as fans expect too much too soon with these young players, who in the case with Talbi I don’t get for all the reasons mentioned.

Good talent and a decent first season tbf.

capable of moments of quality when he has no time to think, instinctive. If he continues to improve and adds consistency he will be top class.

You’re right…I don’t believe it
