I suspect they are finished as a worldwide producer anyway, Chinese and American markets are collapsing, they are in a shit ton of debt, so even borrowing will be massively expensive.
A lot of Nissans woes were brought on … by Nissan itself. Tariffs haven’t got them into the hole they are in now, Nissan have managed perfectly well putting themselves into this predicament
 
If whatever it is doesn't occur, can the mods change his username to Dongfan as a forfeit?

Also, does this mean you don't go to work and if so, do you lose money? Sounds bad.

You still get paid but have to work the hours back at a later date on a Saturday. A lot will disagree but although it’s not ideal, it’s actually reasonable imo.

Nissan always work with output 2/3 years ahead. They're narrowing output to 3 car plant for long-term work . Nissan will be still going in 10 / 20 years time minimum. Fact . And if Dongfeng correct it's closing in next 6 months all lads and lasses walk away quids in anyway
But won't happen

saw that and sounds like they've shit on the older employees pensions who have now likely retired, comes across as paying the bare minimum they can get away with, bad crack from a big corporate

Ive never said it was closing
 
Uk and european car industry is fucked. Won't close overnight but its on borrowed time. Most oems are trying to get into bed with Chinese producers. Long string of uk car plants closed Nissan might last the dudtance but it'll change significantly.

Maximum redundancy is £22,530. I doubt many would get that.

But terms have to be regnotited regarding lease length and cost .

I heard the Chinese were interested in line one until they viewed it and thought f**k that.
Not surprising really with the state of it.
