Ballard

There @bowers2 quite literally one strand of his dreadlocks. More shirt. It's purely accidental he's pulled the hair
Divs can't wait to slate Ballard. Unreal
Difference of opinion, that makes it clearer for me - the gap has increased between them significantly and he still has hold of the blokes hair, when by then he clearly know what he's got hold of.
Shut up man

I watched in real-time first, then a replay and another one...then with the benefit of several stills you can gauge the length of time he has hold of it and how much the space between them increases whilst he still has hold.

He grabbed his body on the left side from memory, shirt and then hair.
.I thought it was an obvious hair pull tbh because he was struggling physically with him and it was a means of gaining a physical advantage, but at the time they were close and it was something that may not have been caught had he not held on when the gap between them increased making it far too obvious.

To be fair we've got away with a fair amount this season so one or two were always going to catch up with us.
You're opening up a whole cans of worms now 😅. What exactly have we got away with this season

That’s a crazy take, but fair enough. He’s clearly got hold of the shirt, just so happens that the striker has long hair. If that was Adam Armstrong, we wouldn’t be having this debate.

Ballad has been one of our best signings. One of the first names on the team sheet for me. Why are people getting het up about calling him thick or stupid or trying to prove it was intentional?
Am I happy with the result? No.
Am I happy with the red card? No.
Am I looking to blame anyone? No.
He's our player and and immense one at that, so get behind him.

What about O'nien against Leeds for instance, clear penalty even if Stach made a meal of it. There probably more if I went game to game. There's obviously some we didn't get too, but defensively we often play on the edge.

We say Brobbey gets treated harshly but most the time he's the one holding too.

You get some, you dont at both ends, thats fair but to be on the end of the ridiculous hair pull rule is a shambles. Its probably happened for years and nobody has batted an eyelid.. all of a sudden its being penalised when theres no proof it was meant.

Imo no but ive only seen a still image

He is pulling his hair. I don't like the rules, but everybody knows the consequences! You can't have referee interviews to prove intent😁 I think we should try an appeal claiming no intent.

Barely got any shirt tbf

If that was Adam Armstrong he wouldn't have been struggling physically and needed to do it.

If you look at the image on the daily mirror site that was also posted ballards fist is gripping his hair and a small amount of his shirt a good two inches above the blokes shoulder. What do you think Ballard knew he had hold of at that point?

The hair pull rule is a shambles and inconsistent. But then we know this ref has form for it too.

he’s got more shirt than hair.
Had the striker been bald we wouldn’t be having this convo either. It’s not a malicious hair pull, it’s him grabbing the shirt and the hair being in the way.

There isn’t a hair pull law anywhere. It’s being made up on the spot.
