Just read on the BBC missed over 700 days and 295 games for City with 32 separate injury issues he's a high class centre when fit.
But you can't guarantee he's had constant muscular injuries and they seem to lasting longer and more frequent to say he's injury prone is being kind.

We’d be gambling on his fitness. Only the decision makers at the club know if that’s something we’re willing to do. Personally, I’d love to see us go for it because he’s top class.

We are unlikely to ever get more than 25 to 30 games out of Ballard while Aldarete puts his body on the line to the extreme susceptible to knocks. Bring stones in and you have four real quality CBs. I think he can also play in defensive midfield if required too.
