Problem with using Alan Brown in the exchange is that he retired in 1986 and wasn’t on our books by that point anyway.

Not sure how that works. The issue is not having players that qualify, but being capped to 17 non homegrown. Wed have a thin squad if that happens (H Jones on the bench but never getting minutes etc)
