Mukiele

So now he's lazy, arrogant and thinks he's something he's not. Didn't take long that. Was being called a hero not long ago.
I’m still of the opinion he looked far better at centre back like
Depends upon the set up. Flat back 4, with no one covering/dropping in. Possibly.

However, his best game IMO was Mags at home. At right back.

They would get stick at any club in the world if they’re 4-0 at half-time, at home.

Arsenal fans had Xhaka in tears and giving them the finger once iirc.
This does not mean it's ok. Especially when we're not used to having such players at our club. At arsenal he wasn't the best player that's potentially ever played for them (I'm not saying that, but a lot of our fans do say that). If we want to keep that sort of player, hurling abuse isn't gonna be what does it. I'm guessing anyway.

Whether it’s ok or not, it would happen everywhere. Every single club.

I still say it depends what's shouted at him.

From the video it looks like this fat bloke in the front row is the one having a go at him. Looks pretty wound up like he's offering to fight Mukiele.

I'm not defending whoever it was, but it definitely was a large group Mukiele was pointing at. Either way, a professional footballer needs thicker skin than that - hardly a surprise you're going to cop some at 4-0 down after 37 minutes.

Like it or not we aren't one of the big boys and many on here have said they can't believe/how lucky we are to have players like Xhaka and Mukiele. With that in mind it's probably not a wise move to abuse players like them, especially as by and large they performed superbly across the season.
Yep, see how barca or real fans react in that scenario.
Indeed. Difference is players will accept it more there, given the size and prestige. And fans of those clubs have different expectations too, winning trophies most years.
They didn’t give up. Second half they at least gave it a go. They’ve given us all so much and in the first truly woeful night we’ve had people want to forget all that and turn on them. Be angry, be pissed off, be frustrated but stay in control and once the fog lifts you’ll see it for what it is. A cack performance in a brilliant season.
That's a good post.
Why does the steward not try to calm him down
Probably too busy laughing at him. Looks a right clip.

Not at all - fans showing they were pissed off at 4-0 down isn’t losing your head imo.

Where is the evidence of abuse? Is being visibly pissed off with that performance abusing players?
Abusing Nordi Mukiele after the season we’ve had is a headloss
Quite the sweeping generalisation, assuming everyone is exactly the same.
If they can’t emotionally regulate themselves to the extent they feel it’s appropriate to abuse Nordi Mukiele after the season he and the team have had, then I’d go so far as to say they probably need to look internally at themselves as to why that is. I was disappointed and frustrated last night, probably said some things to my Dad and mates that were stupid at the time, but I didn’t scream obscenities at the player’s faces. Like the vast majority who stayed in control.

I never mentioned abuse, you said about people losing their shit last night mustn't have been there in the L1 days. It's complete bollocks.

Its absolutley fickle i was disgusted by the boos at ht and ft by a small idiot minority.

The videos of people pouring out at ht was a disgrace as well.

Thicker skin, give me that money and you can do, say or threaten me with pretty much anything and my inward response would be. No worries marra ill
Just check me balance again, these lads need to toughen up and be ready for the battle. They were not even close to ready last night,

In the heat of the moment a fan had a go at him and in the heat of the moment he had a go back. Not great from either perspective but just draw a line under it.

More annoyed at his defending for the 4th goal. Alderete giving the ball away haplessly is poor but he's been coached to play those balls. Roefs playing it straight to Wood is really poor but he's been coached to do that. Can't get my head around why, having conceded twice already from set pieces to the back post, he jogs out when the ball is fired in and leaves the same player completely unmarked at the back post again.
