Home matches empty seats

What happens if you’ve been going through all the utterly shit times but work at sea? Do you just have to surrender your ticket after all these years because you can’t attend 3 games?

I presume that - if you don't personally attend (although I don't know how it is policed) a certain no. of games - then yes, that is exactly what happens.

I'd like to think that at SAFC there would be dispensation for pre-agreed exceptions, because we understand and appreciate our fans.

Sorry, I'll rephrase that.

I USED think that at SAFC there would be dispensation for pre-agreed exceptions.

This again? As has been said, those with young kids have reasons why they can't attend some fixtures.
In my case, I have had a row of three seats since the ground opened, initially for me and my two kids, now for my son and my grandchildren. I had to give my seat up last season for my grandson and moved to a seat on my own. If one of them can't attend, I go back to my "own" seat. I can't sell/swap my seat coz I need the ticket to get in the ground. Can't put the bairn's seat up for sale coz I want that seat.
If that makes me a twat so be it. I've earned and paid my way for long enough.

They don’t employ enough well trained staff for the ticket office , never mind get some of them to trawl through data to find out if they attended a match they’ve already paid for regardless.

Were becoming the Fawlty Towers of footballing clubs , with the administration being over looked by Basil rather than Sybil.

Farcical at best.

Without them there be no atmosphere though.
Would love to see south stand extended

I agree mate. There’s usually 6 lads in 2 seats next to me, and I’ve no objection to it.

I would love them to do some sort of south stand amnesty cos there’s loads of groups of people dotted around who’d rather be in one row, but it would be far too hard to organise so we have what we have.

Leeds do it as well.

I think you’re allowed to pass it on three times a season max but if the seat isn’t used at all then there are questions asked.

We’ll undoubtedly be doing this soon. Those who don’t take their kids to midweek games might find sanctions coming their way if it happens more than a few times.
Which is wrong...there a couple of lads with bairns side us in that predicament.

An empty seat is money left on the table, we have to maximise stuff like this if we want to thrive in this league. If people knew that there was a risk that their season ticket was going to be withdrawn if they didn't attend enough games, they'd make sure to re-sell their ticket.

Even though home games have been selling out, there's always empty seats dotted about. You don't see that at Od Trafford, Elland road, the City Ground etc.

Anybody think the club will introduce a scheme to prevent this i.e ST holders have to attend a certain number of games? Brentford and Arsenal operate this system
Is this a wind up?:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

They refund you though so the Club is neither up nor down, but it’s win-win for the seller and the Club in terms of a full house.

Because it’s an absolute ballache to forward your ticket on.

Well I have missed the last five games after having foot surgery, would I need a sick note ?
My son can’t go tomorrow night and I’ve put it up on the ticket resale thing on the website

Did the same for Everton and Man City games

Dunno what the OP is twisting about
For some people it's their raison detre

To be clear. Leeds' rule is stick it on their resale platform counts as "attending". If everyone is aware of that rule, I don't see why people wouldn't do that if they can't attend.

The clubs up surely?

Season ticket per game is £30 (or less for some tickets), they can resell it for £40-50 for a one off ticket.

If anything they'd love season ticket holders to not bother to turn up, as long as they're reselling them.
