Home matches empty seats

If the club do something they get shite. If they dont they get shite.

Seen someone on FB trying to sell their ticket for friday but want a deposit becuase they have to physically hand over their plastic ticket and someone just kept the ticket last time. Surely just having a digital ticket is easier than that?

How would you police anything like this? I believe when they talked about doing it they said Saturday 3pm games only. But we barely have any 3pm games anymore.

There's always going to be people who have a reason for having an empty seat every match club just cant keep everybody happy.

plenty at the mags last home game
Been struggling to even flog them on resale sites etc. day trippers already losing interest.

I thought those that asked for a plastic card got a digital too anyway?.

Leeds do it as well.

I think you’re allowed to pass it on three times a season max but if the seat isn’t used at all then there are questions asked.

We’ll undoubtedly be doing this soon. Those who don’t take their kids to midweek games might find sanctions coming their way if it happens more than a few times.
What happens if you’ve been going through all the utterly shit times but work at sea? Do you just have to surrender your ticket after all these years because you can’t attend 3 games?

Club will soon be forcing fans to resell their tickets if they can't attend. Happens at most other PL clubs. Zero point extending the ground if you've got seats every game empty that could be filled

I've used the ticket resale to get tickets for our lass. Generally I've found if you're buying more than one you're better off waiting until closer to the game (although they couldn't have waited until much closer for Forest) when groups of people leave it until late to decide they can't go.

Hopefully they are careful with implementing any rules around mandatory attendance. For young kids night games can simply go on too late, and there is no way they should have their season ticket revoked because they can only make weekends.

Also many who live far away will have had these season tickets for years, through the tough times. Yes we want to make more use of the seats but simply taking their ticket off them cannot be the answer. Maybe reach out to them and help them with the resale process when they cannot attend.
Indeed. The London branch has a lot of season ticket holders who don’t go to all games - night matches are particularly terrible. I imagine a lot of the branches are similar albeit London is one of the furthest away.

Also, my kids play footy on weekends - I think this was one of the reasons a lot of people kicked off when this was mentioned before. Matches change so often that it’s not always something kids can just drop stuff for. Mine are 9 and I couldn’t do 8pm Kick offs on a school night even if we lived there.

How is that enforced at other clubs? I don’t suppose folk would mind as long as it’s not dependent on someone buying it. As long as you list it if you’re not going.

If they see your ticket not being used regularly without it being relisted they contact you and issue you warnings, ultimately season tickets get cancelled if it persists

I'm hanging in there for 2 together for tomorrow but fear it is too late on. Can you search for 2 together or is it a case of opening up the blocks that have availability on the stadium plan and hoping for 2 together? Am I missing something? Ta

There's a seat in the north east corner that has been empty for every game this season and was even empty for the play off semi last season. It's in front of some of my family so I often use it if I have a seat elsewhere in the stadium and want to sit with them.

It always shows as sold on the website though. Glitch in the system or has someone got a ticket they never use?

Even though home games have been selling out, there's always empty seats dotted about. You don't see that at Od Trafford, Elland road, the City Ground etc.

Anybody think the club will introduce a scheme to prevent this i.e ST holders have to attend a certain number of games? Brentford and Arsenal operate this system
There were loads of Empty seats at Villa on Sunday 😂

Man City was the last game I used it for a pair and I can't remember whether it shows the filter when two together are available or not. I know it's not there currently, but there are only singles on there.

You don't see it at old Trafford etc as you'd have to lead a pretty sad life to go around counting empty seats at random football grounds.

Of course there will be empty spaces at every ticketed event ever.

We sat South Stand for about five or six year and there was a seat between us and the next group across that was empty every single game, apart from two random matches months apart when a young lad sat there for half the game each time. Plenty of spare seats around so it would have been an odd one to pick if he didn't have a ticket for it.

I'd check online and it was always marked as sold, like you I presumed there was a glitch with it. Didn't mind the extra leg room though.

You have no more ownership or entitlement than Joe Bloggs who has never been to the stadium in his life.

That may be the case , but as a business try finding 35,000 new customers every season , when you got 35,000 existing customers with proven purchase history.

It’s a two way transaction, they probably need us slightly more as potential customers than we need them to provide an entertainment service.

The very idea of a business selling you a product then telling you you're no longer allowed to buy that product because you didn't use it enough. Honestly man fuck off with this nonsense.

And who is going to buy it instead? Someone who couldn't attend for a decade when we were shite but miraculously can now? No thank you.

Fuck off

The miserable kernt next to me has been to 3 games in 2 seasons, although the person he goes with in the next seat never misses. Shouldn't be allowed when there are fans on a waiting list and this twat decides to show us for the mags game and one near Christmas
I know of a few like that, pick n choose the games and even sell away tickets on building points up but pick n choose the away games that suit too
