Hartlepool United

Win is a win but again it was utterly dreadful to watch & I was somewhat surprised to see the starting lineup. We've signed players and hardly played them, whilst the players he's stayed loyal to have basically not performed & cost him his job. Granted a win today, it was again the same negative setup and against a team who in my opinion just wanted to avoid injuries and didn't really seem arsed. 1 more game to go at home thank goodness

Glad I gave it a miss. Went to watch the cricket instead.

Had a feeling FG would experiment today and they did, which was later backed up by Savage in his interview. Just be glad to see the end of the season safe in the knowledge that NF will not be manager next season which for me is a huge positive for the football club. Listening to NF after the game, he sounds incredibly bitter about not being given the chance for next season.

Yeah, I was surprised by that. He wasn't happy at all, he obviously didn't see that coming.
 (if you know you know)

I'll be totally honest I think it sounded very much like a lot of self entitlement from him as if he thinks he should have got the job because "he is Nicky Featherstone" who in some folks world, can do no wrong because "he's a club legend". With the greatest of respect to those people, he couldn't fasten the shoe laces of some legends in the past like Brian Honour, Joe Allon, Keith Nobbs, Ritchie Humphreys.

This performance analyst company they have brought in have clearly sussed him out very quickly. The brand of football is dire and I mean absolutely dire, the setup has been the same for 95% of games and it's shaved comfortably 1000 off the gate since the takeover, and at the national league level that is a lot of lost revenue. If you work on the basis of around 10 home league games since the takeover, average of around £17 a ticket, that is around 170k in lost ticket sales, then throw in booze, food, merchandise, it will be pushing 200k. I've already spoken to season ticket holders, who have since said they will now renew and that includes the 3 in our group, so I definitely believe this will have been a factor in the decision making

The ground has been flat as a fart for a long time, and that isn't something you associate with Pools, when team give you something to shout about, the crowd will respond massively. It's not expecting much to turn up to see a team setup at home with the intention in trying to win a game of football, and it's just not happening.

The owner was at the game today so I'd not rule out an appointment soon, Clarke and Mowbray I heard off people today. Plenty suggesting Pools should go for Rob Elliott.

Fevball has been atrocious, absolutely awful to watch. I've always liked Featherstone as a player, I've never slated him, always rated him. A tidy player. I'll be kind and say it's maybe a bit early for him to be manager, and it would be nice to see him get another role within the club.
Personally I'd go for Darrell Clarke, I think he'd be a good fit. Tony Mowbray would be a very interesting appointment, and I could see it happening. The fact Fevs is stepping down with a face like a smacked arse suggests progress.

Wasn’t going to bother but changed my mind, not really looking forward to it & I don’t think I’ll stick around for the last home game thank you from the players.

7 changes and they'll probably still beat us.

With their play off spot sealed they obviously have one eye on the FA trophy final.
