Can you live in a hunting lodge all year round? If it can only be used in season I imagine most think it’s better to stay somewhere else with staff who will look after you.
After purchase price then building the lodge you won’t have any change from £1m and finding somebody willing to wait 2 years for their own lodge the target market is incredibly small.

Went to look at one with me mar a few years ago. Beautiful location although the public footpath running along the back of them was a bit off putting. Also the smallest house we have ever seen, would make a great holiday home
