SAFC - Fan Ban & Ticket Cancellations

As I've asked before on this thread.... tell me, how do you know this for certain? I'm genuinely intrigued.

I'd also be interested to know if anyone had ID checks done on them as has been happening up to the derby ticket carry-on. If so, does anyone know of any fails?
There’s got to be some agenda for you to continue to be in complete denial of this so what is it?

I don't think anyone is in denial that some tickets are not being used by correct points holder but your comment said there was LOADS yesterday.
So what is classed as loads? I would say 25% would be the minimum to class it as loads and I think the point the other lad is trying to get at is how do you know that many people are using others numbers?
I was there and saw many familiar faces again. Whether these people have correct points or not I can't confirm, all I do know is I see many of the same faces at all away games.

I didn’t say there were loads. Someone else did. I said the other day that I know of people who’ve done it however that was dismissed as it was “only two people”. Others have said they know of it and again it gets dismissed. Even SAFC2012 has admitted to doing it. Branches are accused of doing it on a grander scale.

It will add up to quite a bit and the problem is it only costs those who have, for example 25-30 points or the Phase 4 fans; the ones who just miss out basically - the most deserving.

I couldn’t give a fuck about the Johnny Come Latelys or whatever and it doesn’t affect me as I’ve been to the vast majority of aways this season all in my own name. Just those who can’t go but should have been able too. And there’s lots of them.

Not sure why you believe that is a question which needs asking, though I might well ask the same of you.

I will answer, however. My agenda is that the club has screwed me over after 51 years of support and I believe that not only SHOULD the club do better, but that is imperitive for it's long-term success, on and off the pitch, that it does so - especially where 'us' (the fans) are concerned.

Right - you go next. You seem determined to dilute or dispute other fans real-life, first hand experiences. So what is your agenda?

PS Asking people questions of others to understand what makes them so certain of the facts, is not 'complete denial'? It's a fair question.... unless, of course, there IS another agenda at play here.

Ok so you backed someone up who said there was loads yesterday.
I'm not denying it happens but I don't see there being loads/lots as previously mentioned.
Surely the vast majority who have built points up are actually going to the games, I honestly couldn't be arsed with the hassle of passing on a ticket every game just to be guaranteed a mags ticket.
I'd be amazed if the number is more than 5%, happy to be proven wrong if it is more but there's no way to prove either argument.

Unless they start doing 100% ID checks there is no way to stop it happening.

Also until the club get there act together so tickets can be returned easily as there's an excuse to be used, that in my opinion should be the priority.

You deny that points farming exists. It’s ridiculous.

My agenda is that I support fans who only just miss out because tickets have fell into the hands of those not entitled. The ones who have put in a decent amount of miles in their own name. They should have the tickets. Instead they are being given to whoever the points farmer chooses to give them too or they are being given to people to fill a bus. That’s is wrong.

We had an American couple next to us in the away end yesterday.. they had a villa shop bag with the home away and goalkeeper top in the bag .. WAIT IT GETS BETTER.. BALLARD THEN GETS SUBBED ON THEY ASKED EACH OTHER WHO HE WAS.. THEN THEY LEFT ON THE 75TH MINUTE! how are people like that getting tickets over some loyal supporters me and my partner are ok we are on the 80+ mark but some die hard fans are missing out while people like that are getting them?

10 tickets out of 3,000 or so are being ID checked. As someone else has said, unless 100% of tickets are ID checked this will always happen. Branches have admitted to doing it, we all know individuals do it. They could've been on corporate tickets or players friends and family tickets.

They'll never be able to ID check every single ticket due to time and cost of doing it and are just hoping the risk of getting ID checked puts people off passing tickets on.

Indeed. We've had tickets in the past. People with us who've never had a ST. They are available if you know where to go to.

My issue with this isn't that "They are available if you know where to go to." two people who don't know who one of the most notable players in the last few years is and multiple Aston villa shirts in there bag i personally wouldn't say they were our fans? i have no issue with supporters who haven't got a season ticket getting away tickets but when people take them off people who are fans of the club i think that is very very poor

It is poor indeed. My point being tickets are available and they are more likely than not from similar sources to ours.

If it keeps happening and people keep condoning it then there is a massive risk that future away games v the Mags could be bubbled - and nobody wants that.

As I've stated before, people need to be careful about what they're asking for. People complained earlier in the season that it's a closed shop and people were passing tickets on etc. You can't disagree with people passing tickets on to gain the point and then also expect branches to be able to move tickets around freely once purchased either. You either agree with the fact that the person using the ticket should be the person using it or you don't.

Like plenty have said, the days of a young lad or less getting a last minute ticket from a mate who can't make it anymore are seemingly on their way out but the club don't deal with it properly at the moment. If you can't make a game anymore last minute you can't do anything with the ticket in case of an ID check and you basically can't contact the club to sort it out either.

Whilst 10 tickets every away game are being checked people will be happy to take the risk and pass their ticket on, especially as there's no real guidance about what happens if you do do it. There's situations where nothing has happened and other situations where people have been banned for it. Needs to be a firm set of rules that are clear.

Who's condoning it?
Also ticket swapping would have no bearing on the scum being a bubble game.
Why do you think there are ID checks if nee-one is arsed and it doesn’t matter?

People are now even pointing to a club conspiracy to have ID checks in place just to catch one person and are now saying they’ve stopped man. It’s getting ridiculous.
