Small margins can make all the difference, and the game yesterday was a prime example of that. Villa simply have better players and 3 in particular decided to play like they were already at the world cup. 2 of them might win it this year, the other already did. No shame in loosing to them and certainly not in the manner of the defeat.

Incisive my arse, we gifted them goals and also put 3 past their defence.
 
I love luke and he’s been generally good this season but he IS an accident waiting to happen. See away to the Mags

That should have been his last start of the season but the manager was being clever and low and behold look what happened.

Literally at fault wholly or in part for 3 goals.

Not even LO9 would expect to be in that defence of Hume, Gertruida.
 
Im going to guess Mukiele doesn’t like or want to play centre back so he plays in his best position where he is the best at the club at. Geetruida also prefers rb but not as good as nordi, Ballard only just coming back from injury and not wanting to rush him, so we have o,nien who was excellent last game. I think Reggie made the right call.

Having had the night to think on it agree completely, to be a better premier league side we definitely need more depth, 09, as nice as the lad appears to be, shouldn’t make the bench, he’s a great ambassador for the club but if he loves us as much as he says he does he should make himself unavailable for selection from now til we part ways in pre season, he’s not a pl footballer.

Before yesterday he started 3 and we won 3, Inc two away from home.
No other player is looked at in the detail he is with such a desire to say he's done something wrong.
Hes been more than fine

Honestly, and it’s only my opinion m8, no. Against Leeds he was ok, not good or composed, just ok, against the mags he fucked up, against spurs he slid in and could easily have conceded a penalty, (I get he didn’t but there was no need to do it alderete had it under control), yesterday he was f***ing all ower the shop. I don’t have any agenda other than seeing what I see, a decent bloke, great servant and ambassador to the club, who’s out of his depth, he can’t help it or put it right, he simply isn’t a player that any decent pl teams would have in their squad, imho.

I can see your point in all (though don't agree ) except for the sliding in to block a shot v spurs
When people start blaming him for sliding in and not giving a foul away, then I think , personally, that's a bit crazy.

This is ratings by an objective reporter. Rating 09 higher than reinildo. Not sure I agree with it - but yesterday Watkins was on fire - hes one of the best strikers in the league.
 
So is conceding 3 at home to mid table team. Sure most Villa fans aren’t complaining about that this morning

Decent ratings. Hard to argue with that. The third goal seemed so easy after Reinildo lost the ball but Rogers has done that all season. The Abraham goal was odd because Hume and O'Nien were marking him. Still scored.

Maybe it’s not that deep. Maybe Gerty has already had discussions to say he won’t stay due to lack game time, and so RLB picked O9 for the longer term harmony of the squad.

No attitude problem, no toys thrown out of prams, just that we can’t meet Gertys needs because Ballard and Hume have both stepped up so well and Mukiele and Alderete are both better than him
 
Massive concern is our form away from home this season.

Only Wolves have scored fewer goals away than us. We have the worst goal difference in the league outside the bottom two.

At home, only Man City and Arsenal have a better defensive record. But even then, we're in the bottom half for goals scored.
