Agree that it would take a big toll on us and give us a smaller budget to work with. But we might not get another chance to do it again for 10 years.

We need to get serious as a club around sentimentality, even the most hardened WUM on here should acknowledge LO9’s part on the journey here. That said, he was poor today for the first, second and fourth goals IMO - not exclusively at fault but, at fault nonetheless & when Ballard & Geertriuda are both watching on, the overall blame lies with RLB as he picks him over either of them - it needs to change

Depends on what we decide to do with Reinildo (was also worse than onien today). If he’s fit to play - because his shite game today may well be due to injury - then the obvious addition to the defence is Hume in at right back and Nordi inside. If Reg needs Trai at lb then Luke may get a reprieve.
O’nien as always getting pelters
Left back was directly responsible for two of the goals (first and third) and not a peep of criticism. Mukielele at right back just disappears up the pitch randomly at times - again not a peep.
We let four goals in today - defensively very poor. Not sure o’nien should always be the one carrying the can (but obvs was poor - amongst others)

Sunderland have made it clear this week, they won't be selling many, if any, big players this summer.
Xhaka has said him and Nordi didn't come here for one season.
Its a plan. You don't run before you can walk. If we end up in Europe next season we will be in relegation battle for it all. They just want to get close enough to it so they can entice more names to the club in order to get there next year.

Nordi will play fullback now unless we play 3 at the back then Hume can come in as wingback like earlier in the season
Genuinely quite surprising how many people seem to think Mukiele just decides to go forward and 'out of position' whenever he fancies as opposed to it being tactical mind
