Diarra lately

Having calmed a bit I think you can forgive Diarra the miss. He’s did absolutely take the wrong option, but it was a great timed run to get the chance (something he’s very good at) and I actually thought he’d played pretty well otherwise. Like Le Fee vs Brentford, I’d back him to bounce back soon and hopefully just a learning point. If we hadn’t gifted them a winner moments later I don’t think he takes as much criticism.

remember that anybody that wants to sell someone after a few bad games would have our club bankrupt in 2 transfer windows lol

if you can, show the kid some love today, nobody is a harsher critic of Diarra than himself I'm sure. Back the kid.

Perfectly put. It was an instinctive decision. An error. Something a 22 year old will make. Get behind him rather than slate him and he will come good.

It was, but some of us didn’t write him off because we could see there was a PL player in there

I knew he had talent, but it hadn't really been evident this season barring Villa early on in the season. He'd been a bit weak, off the pace etc. I don't think he's shown a good run of form since midway through last season- just in fits and splurts until now.

But he's put it together since the Bournemouth game and had probably his best run of form for us for me, wasn't great against Spurs like.

There should never have really been a rush to make a judgement on him in reality, he's still a kid.

I think given our cm options he should be on the bench. Xhaka and Sadiki are nailed on starters and Le Fee is more creative than Diarra.

Jurys out for me , not helped mind by a lengthy lay off , think he needs a good pre season and see how he goes next year .
I hope he isn’t just picked because of the fee paid

Fuck me, I’m looking forward to this pre-season. Sounds like it will turn Diarra, Mundle, Angulo, and Ta Bi into world beaters.
