If we do lose some of these current players

Aye they all have my respect for giving a newly promoted team a chance, it was certainly a risk on their part especially the likes of Xhaka and Mukiele.

Special praise for Enzo for giving us a go last January in the Championship, quite mad when you think about it but it's certainly turned out well and I bet he's enjoyed his time here

Somehow feel Le Fee and RLB are joined at the hip. I may be wrong but I reckon it would take a very very big wage for Le Fee to leave

Hope we don't turn on them if and when they return with another club.

Whatever happens from now on they have done us proud. Football these days is temporary but memories last forever
I'd not however unless they turn out for the mags I'd just see them as another opposition player. We shouldn't go nuts over any ex player unless they have a huge contribution to us like skp or niall quinn with goal scoring or saving the club, or heaven forbid actually winning something. Anyone else should be treated the same as any other away player imo.

Yep Le Fee only came here because of his mentor RLB and he won't be going anywhere soon. They both seem to love the area as well which certainly helps. We need to add to this squad not sell the crown jewels. This squad will be much better next season.

Most fans understand how we are building our club and squad and that at times players will be sold. So far we haven’t missed any that have went and have improved each time. I trust the process.
Aye and we don’t take it personally and get all offended when they want to leave, unlike them up the road😂

Pointless trying to keep any player whose head has been turned. They stink place out
That’s why I fear for us holding onto the likes of Mukiele and Omar
In their mid to late 20’s , one last big money move

Think we are planning one to go vs the ones when we were in championship , jobe and clark, maybe we'll get bids that are too good
But we will need a bumper squad for our champions league campaign....incase deluded saudi is listening ,hes gone aswell as the saudi shirts

It’s like any other sport in that the players want to play at the highest level possible and taking our own blinkered sentiment out of it you have to understand the players wishes when that time arrives.

Ginger Piss Biscuit
The guy who's brother was good
Captain Contract Rebel

I mean, I'm sure anyone who leaves will be fine 😎

Absolutely, sometimes fans forget that players aren’t supporters like we are, and they have to do what’s best for themselves and their families.
I think most Sunderland fans accept this, and we would never have gone on like the mags did when Isak “dared” to ask for a move away

I would imagine that part of the deal in getting these young players was that if they gave us at least a couple of seasons and they kicked on we wouldn't stand in their way if a big offer came in that we find acceptable

I would imagine there would have been conversations with the summers incoming signings that we as a club are there as a stepping stone in their career.

We don’t really “turn” on ex players. I enjoy watching championship games featuring our ex players and wish them well.

I’d prefer if none of the current lot leave, but likewise I understand that player trading is more important than ever and would wish anyone well moving onto better things.
