SAFC - Fan Ban & Ticket Cancellations

RAWA are dealing with this. Just because they're not shouting about it on message boards or publishing statements because people are demanding them, doesn't mean they're not doing anything.

If you are a RAWA member and you're not happy with them, you're free to send in your complaints direct to them.

If you think another supporters group or one of the independent reps could handle this better, feel free to contact them and ask them to take action.

If you think you can do a better job, you are free to form your own supporters trust and work with the club directly to get this resolved.

Hold on a second though. I've always been an advocate for RAWA and defended them, I've also been pretty neutral on this thread for the main and appreciate it seems to be a bit nuanced.

However, your post here is a bit shitty to people asking questions. The RAWA published a statement from the club around this and I don't think it mentioned at all that they were continuing dialogue around it. It definitely came across like it was a final sort of answer.

So people have been kept out of the loop completely and you as RAWA rep barely ever post on here and have admitted that and you spend most of your time on other forums despite being SMB rep.

So how are people supposed to know and be kept updated? Is it just a 'trust me bro' attitude?

Piss poor really

Mate no problem at all but with demand so high if i couldnt go i would resale my ticket or give it away rather than a empty seat which is my point crazy having a empty seat when fans cant get them

Mate agreed so next year that’s what I have done sharing with someone they will do Homes he’ll do Aways with his 5-7 homes as well I did try the resale route but you only get your money or that games worth if someone takes up the ticket the now shut down away ticket site allowed me to off load it on the day

No worries people on here will take your kids ticket great support from Bristol 👍 we as fans need to look after each other because the way the club are going its a massive issue with the ticket manager hes from from Chelsea whats he going to come up with next ?

There's a handful of people on here being shitty towards me as a RAWA rep and RAWA itself. The same people keep asking the same questions that I have already answered, but because they don't like or don't agree with the answers, they say RAWA is not fit for purpose, the rep should be replaced and so on. If they're that unhappy with me/RAWA, it would be a better use of their time to explore the other options I listed rather than keep posting the same questions/statements over and over in this thread.

I've kept people updated as much as I'm able to and I'm in frequent contact with @SAFC2012 who is the main character in all of this. Yes there's an element of "trust me bro" because as has been said before, the full story isn't on here and I'm not at liberty to post it.

I've actioned anything RAWA related that's been posted not just on just on this thread, but across the whole site. Just because I don't actively post in other threads, doesn't mean I'm not logging in regularly to pick these things up and I talk to people who send me PM's.

Yes I post on another forum about the footy and general chit chat. There's no rule that says the RAWA rep can only post on this forum.

Ive been critical of RAWA and will remain so when I think they deserve to be criticised. Its a forum and its free speech. I dont think I have ever named you individually.

RAWA and its reps cant complain if fans question their effectiveness and what doing if dont update and let fans see what saying/doing with club. Other clubs fan groups do and personally I think thats a better system.

Whilst P is the main character this also effects 65 others main of whom had tickets cancelled for doing nothing wrong and were punished because of guilt by association. Each on of those 65 also have a case against the club within all this.

There are fans in this thread and across the wider fanbase who have contacted club themselves over this action. It shows they care and are bothered. Would they have taken it upon themselves and spent their own time if they knew what RAWA were doing and believed they would be effective?

RAWA published a club statement not objecting to a thing or mentioning a single word of disagreement. I'm sorry but what are people going to think of them if that's their public stance?

They've been a joke and laughably poor during this whole debacle.
Which fans group called every league club and only safc were uncontactable?

Thats the sort of shit publicity which might create action.

Mind the listening to fans events etc seem to have ended now were selling out.
It was a member of the senior supporters association. He ripped the club and it's ticketing fiasco a new arsehole and put the rest of those present at these (seemingly pointless) meetings to shame.

Malcolm Bramley I believe. He was secretary of Derby County when Cloughie was their manager. He's now the secretary of the association.

Obviously a very clever bloke.

At the end of the day, no fan group can force a club to do anything. The club are also not obliged to consult anything other than a fans' trust.

Disagree to a large extent with this point. An influential fan group should be able do exactly this!
Maybe not force, but RAWA should be able to kick up enough of a stink the club club ‘chooses’ to do something…. Even if that is to come out and defend their position

Totally agree, or whats the f***ing point.

Been looking at other clubs, seeing if other groups seem to carry more weight. At the end of the day the club should welcome all feedback.

What are you doing about it? Apart from goading Becs and moaning 24/7 on here.

Ive not goaded Becs but I dont think RAWA are fit for purpose when it comes to this. I dont think the people who made this original decision and when they made it to are either.

This is a forum for fans to voice opinions. Or it was the last time I checked. Maybe others agree with me and maybe others wont.

I feel strongly about treatment of P and also the other 64 many of whom have done nothing or very little wrong.

I think if you want to garner more support it needs to be made clear what constitutes doing “very little wrong” because answering that has proved troublesome for those involved. Then people can decide for themselves.

That information isn’t to hand yet.

Im sure what can be agreed upon though is that the majority of 65 people had tickets cancelled for scum that they earned points for because they were bought by the organiser. They were then allowed to buy with fastest finger first despite having considerably more points than their competition. Given many of them then missed out on the match is unfair and wrong and I dont believe they were treated or represented fairly and in a timely manner. That is why I called it a PR stunt from beginning.
