Diarra

I think our midfield dominated that game today. I wouldn't have swapped any of theirs for ours and that goes for the whole team.

Which is mad based upon how much they have spent on it.

Their bench alone today cost more than our side put together and wouldn't swap any of them into our first 11.

2 goals and 5 assists in 13 starts. Makes things happen, doesn’t hide, runs all day. That final pass is lacking atm but I think he’s a very good player whose transfer fee is used against him.

Had a bad injury, stop start season and he’s still only 22 putting up those numbers.
5 assists? Where are you getting that from?

Only assist he has is the one today (apparently that counts)

5 would have him joint top with Xhaka and one ahead of le fee

5 assists? I don't think that's right.

Very good game today, but I'd like to see him having a better final ball.

FPL, the likes of the Burnley OG go to him as an assist. Not the official stats, but does show he’s involved in plenty.

Scum, Burnley, Bournemouth, Spurs, Brentford

I haven't been impressed with him since he returned from AFCON, but the midfield three today was very reminiscent of the three we saw during our early season form. Worked together like they'd played in the same side for half a decade.

All played their part exceptionally well, including Diarra.
Eh? Diarra was injured in the Burnley game second up and didn’t come back until after AFCON.

Played well. However he had two fairly easy opportunities to slide in Bobby and was off with both of them.

He's starting to do well and I think there's better to come.

So wherever you've got assists from includes an assist as

There shot is saved and rebounds to a goalscorer (newcastle, Bourmouth), wins a penalty (brentford), hits the shot that is skewed own goal and of course pass in build up.

Winning a penalty used to count as an assist everywhere but most gambling sites removed it about 3 years ago.

The second one le fee was in about 40 yards of space the other way after brobbey drew both defenders as well

Basically aye. FPL stats (already said they’re not the official stats in another thread) but more just using that stat to prove he gets involved and makes things happen. It’s essentially direct involvement in a goal, which I’m all for. I appreciate it isn’t exact.

I really like him, he’s raw as fuck and if he can start to pick a final pass, he will kick in next season. Bundles of energy, doesn’t hide and likes to get forward. We’ve lacked this type of central player for a while. Some of the abuse he’s received on here has been uncalled for. He’s just a kid.

I haven't seen any abuse like. It's a forum and people just posting their opinions of his performances objectively.

His running power is excellent. Different from Sadiki who has an engine, Diarra has a burst of speed to get away from people, but also to get back when he needs to.

I think he'll do very well next year.

Maybe not “abuse” as such. But plenty of opinions on him allegedly not giving a shit, worse than Rodwell, lazy, absolutely shite etc hyperbolic nonsense bordering on abuse.

Said it a ton of times already but his movement at the top end of the pitch is better than every other player in our squad.

The OTT criticism he got against Brighton only came about because of how good his movement is, he just wasted about four hundred good opportunities when he got there  considering how little we offer creatively it's key for us him making them runs. Just look at the goal today, forces Udogie to stay out there and Gallagher takes a step across out wide just as Mukiele comes inside into all that space.
