I think you may have misunderstood what I’m saying here like. I have posted my views on this before, and even got on that “Deluded World” for saying it.

The conclusion of my argument is that the mags have a greater population base than us, yet as a % of our “possible support” we get more through the door than they do.

Population is obviously a determining factor but you suggested they had all of Northumberland and Gateshead. Sunderland supporters certainly had branches in Blyth and Ashington though I don't know if they still function.and I have travelled on a coach with the Gateshead branch. I have lived in Durham County most of my life and my experience suggests you have greatly overestimated the proportion of Newcastle support. Which area do you live in? Your experience may be different.

I grew up in South West Durham in the 90s.

I am of course not saying that there are no Sunderland supporters in Northumberland but it’s at least 95% mags.

Whenever I am back in County Durham
I see mag after mag after mag.

Places like Shildon, Spenny, Bish, etc are going to be about 55% mags but you get to Consett, Stanley etc it’s gotta be 75% mag.

You are just plucking numbers out of the air. I still live in County Durham and couldn't give you figures but I have worked in Spennymoor and Bishop and I'm sure your figures are way out.

Just having lived in Chester le Street and still got a lot of friends there. Also friends in and around Houghton and Hetton. Worked in Peterlee, a friend who I see regularly in Darlington, a good friend in Hartlepool, family in seaham.

Apart from that? 😆
